What is it, a graphire or bamboo or something? Liking the new works, but I hope we see more of the red one! Oh yeah, have a good xmas man!
Thanks for the tip mokinzi .. I havn't really tried experimenting before. I prefer the stereotypical sexy body..
Hey man. I can't work on my stuff at the moment since I'm at family. When I get home though ..
to answer both your questions - It's a Wacom Volito2 .. never heard of it actually. It's really tiny. The drawing surface is as big as my hand and I guess it's not as good as I think it is. It's just that my intuos 2 is old.. and doesn't have the technology all newer wacoms have
It's great for laptops though.. just place it on your lap and chill in the sofa haha.
I had a Volito 2 before i bought my intuos. Gave it to my cousin, but it was a great first tablet. Really cheap and surprisingly accurate. The only real issue I had was with the surface, it's just hard plastic and it's more slippery than the rubbery sheet on the intous. I'm pretty sure they don't make them any more though.
Hey brother how are the things?
Looks like you're another victim of school, i hate it honestly... but i see you are pushing forward, I see imrpovement and new ideas bring them some shadows I wanted to wish you happy holidays and stay alive!

hay mate, god jul på dej också, lite sent ute kanske, så gott nytt år iställe.
well, I just dont feel like updating anymomre, im not gettin anything I like down on paper anymore, I hope the tide will turn soon and il start posting again, well see. looking good here though, really good.
ManMadeGod - Yea I agree.. the surface was the only thing bugging me. It was fun to draw with though
Clanlord - Hey man, things are geting better and better! Thanks. By shadows, do you mean adding depth to the pictures by rendering everything and not just the lines?
Mery Xmas to you too!
Lotet - Gott nytt år hehe. Thanks man.. been there. Just outlive it.. I havn't been able to really lift the pen since november. Just these past days have really sprouted my creativity and imagination. Sometimes it's just really good to get away from the whole drawing too.
Reject-D - Thank you!
Allright, back from a great christmas with family in denmark. I enjoyed it alot, and it was really good to leave my home for a while.. let the senses rest and just relax.. which easier said than done with my fighting cousins
Anyway.. here's a moleskine dump.. these days have been kind to me.
My favorite's the Chimera and my semi-self portrait with some lyrics from a Katatonia song called In The White.. really like em. Great melancholic melodic band, sounds a bit like Opeth. Check em out
sorry for the blurr... to lazy to fix it now. And the lyrics are miss-heard... still a good song

LINK <-- Yes, yes, yes! =D
Great stuff as usual, mate =) Lot's of nice movement, both subtle and obvious.
Keep working on your rendering, and push the values a bit more.
The dynamic part of your work needs to be complemented by strong values to deliver that bitchin' impact that we began to see in this!
Keep it up!
Donalfall - thanks man! yea.. nad newyear's aswell .. but what the heck hehe
Mokinzi - Thank you! .. the wizard (actually a satyr ) is one of my favorite's too.
I'm like.. halfway done or one third.. started detailing from left to right now.. done with kitty .. lightsource from the candles needs to be added. Lightong on santa aswell.. he stands out too much.. need to push him back with shadows.. the presents on top needs work. And the whole blue sheet needs paterns, stars and stuff.
More to come..
hey man, it is nice to see that you keep on working amd doing what you love. I am a tad drunk now so I will skip the critique for this time. I respect your hard work mate.
Keep it up and happy new year!
Hiiiiii..... i want more body studies!!! Start copying from www.posemaniacs.com each pose... and remember patiance is a virtue!

Hello, I am not dead.
Buckster - That is one of the best comments I have had so far happy new year man!
Clanlord - Thanks.. I havn't been doing posemancias for many months. Picked it up again last week cheers!
I only half dead.. joke. I feel like painting again so thats what I've been doing.. it's good being back
Some more on the christmascard, which is turning into something more mystic.. going to replace the small doll with another cat. Also finished a chow, and started working on a cow.
Man Made God - Mate! about the creature stuff.. hmm, no Idea really. I've been a bit inspired by Linda Bergkvist's tutorials. The way she blends airbrush and hard brushes.. gives a kinda photographic touch to it.
Other inspirations.. looking at other peoples stuff, and drawing. To be honest I don't know, cause I hadn't been drawing in a month until I started on the cow and chow.
Painting traditionally has given me lots of insight about contrast and light vs dark tones.. I've allways had trouble grasping it in painting.. until I did some still-life's with oil and it's like .."aha.. so thats how" - how that helps creature creation though.. I don't know
hope it gives some clarification.
Did a dreamhouse.. speedie kinda. And made a sketch for the next chow.. not at all what I had in mind, but I still like it - gonna be interesting to see where this leads.
Hey dude, nice updates. The pencil sketches from christmas are awesome, and I like the COW rough a lot as well, the hard edges look nice.
Keep it up!
Kickass compositions in your digitals, man! A lot of cinematic shots with dynamic poses. My favorit has to be the lizard warrior vs the leviathan. It's also good to see you're working hard on your pencils. You're making some really good progress with that. The best part about it is that it will also show in your digis. Rock n Roll!
Tack o hej, leverpastej!
Christoffer - Thanks man! Yea I've been working a lot with linework. Now I've started working more with traditional oils, it's really given me a lot of insight how to control contrast and give volume to a 2d surface.. every image is a challenge
ha det gött!
Final.. fed up with it.. rushed the enviro when I realised the more I worked it, the worse it got.
Keep working on that monster, I really think it would be worth it, even if the comp is over...it's a great piece. Sometimes the difference between a piece of crap (to your eyes) and being on the road to making an awesome painting is just a few more hours of getting through the tough stuff.
Paint over the background with something simple, a flat dark colour just to give yourself a new slate...then just stare for a while at it or sketch on a diff layer to see if anything works.
The monster itself is awesome so far, the skin really has luminance. Maybe give that head a cast shadow or something on its body, and start using a hard brush to define the fur as one big mass, give it some edges.
hahah, sorry, I just hate seeing awesome stuff like this get tossed aside. I know the frustration though.
Love your last piece, that creature is so cool! The colour scheme is awesome too. I agree with Oden, don't give up on it! He said like all the important things too, I guess. I'd like to see you give some more depth and life to that little eye, though! It can really make a big difference.
And that dreamhouse... So adorable I want to live there!
Oden - Sweet to hear! yes this summer is gonna be art-tastic!
Thanks a ton for the tips! I didn't intend on working more on it.. but you've made me change my mind - gonna finish some other stuff and then get to work. Thanks for pushing me!
Mokinzi - You know what they say, the eye is the mirror of the soul .. I'll put some extra thought into the eye, thanks
I hate my computer, it can't handle pictures over 2500 pixels.. trying a new workflow with this piece. Basically it's what caravaggio did.. a medium background colour, then flesh out highlights in white, and shadows in a darker colour.. then refine, and add hues. Just been fooling around ... or I should just stick to how I did the sound creature.

Hey man, I thought i had posted in your thread, but apparently i havent :/.. Anyway..
Awesome developement and progress man. You've really developed since i last saw your work. Your drawings are looking very nice, and your paints are starting to get better also. I would like to see you let loose a bit more with your paints and not just draw it and then color it. I see alot of creative designs too.
Keep it up, your doing great.
flamable - Thanks! I'm trying hard to finish it asap.
FrozZT - Man! Long time no see thanks for the tip. I'm slowly learning to loosen my painting more, and not just follow the lines so to say..
How did the the challenge over at CGSociety go? .. I never finished.. didn't feel like painting all winter =/
ha det bra!
More wip.. I've got a vague idea of which direction to go now.. next update'll be interesting.
Nice colours! Your process is working itself out, looks like you're really getting into the swing of things. The rendering on the last monster was really impressive too, the scales and skin folds are really convincing.
Maybe some crits next time. You have to make some more mistakes soon lol.
Hey man! Long time no see. Really sorry for that. Rough times you know! They're just jumping all over you when least expected!
Anyway, thanks for stopping by and kicking my ass!
Hope you've been good!
I notice some marvelious improvement! The pencils are stunning and I think you're way to good for me to criticize! Haha!
Just wanted to drop by!
Cya around mate!
