Erm, an intro. Hi. I just joined this forum so hope I've done this right.
I used to draw constantly growing up, but I gave up a few years ago. Now I want to start again and I feel like I've forgotten how, so I need to start learning from scratch. Before I mostly just drew inked line art, cartoons and stuff, but I want to learn 'proper' drawing and some day get into painting. I never learned to shade properly so that's a big issue for me.
I thought if I started this thread it would help keep me motivated, and I'm going to try and draw every day. There's so many good artists here so I hope to learn from all of them. Anyway I should stop writing now and get on with pictures I guess.
These are two I drew today. A still life of two random objects on my desk, to try and practice light/shading. And a self portrait which makes me look pretty scary. The third picture is ancient, it's the last thing I drew before I gave up for 4 years. It's kind of my first benchmark, I can't draw like that any more and I guess that's the first thing I'm aiming for.
