First time posting here, been lurking forever though. Much props to the many many talented artists around, and the determined beginners, it has finally pushed me to buckle down and do this. I have been out of school for years and have been reasonably successful in the design world with what little talent I have in traditional art fundamentals. It is time for me to grow and become the concept artist/traditional illustrator/painter I have always wanted to be.
Here is some of my work just to let you guys know where I stand, some of it is from years past. Some of it is my commercial work so you can see how my traditional translates into the commercial art.
My goal here is to really nail some fundamentals and then apply it to good conceptual pieces/traditional painting. Please please please feel free to critique/prod. Or let me know what you think I should do next. Right now I am collecting books/exercises/vids, and grooming my schedule to dedicate the time for this. I wish to post something every day until I am happy (which may take forever. )
PS. The cat looks like poo, made it 2-3 years ago and tried hard but quit out of disgust lol.
