Last looks nice. What was the prompt? I like where you're going with the moleskine, with the single page storytelling. You should do more of these. I think I like you pen lines more than your pencils when it comes to non-study stuff.
Thanks Factor. The images will be based around the saying of "Beauty is only skin deep". I don't think I will take that last approach again with the next two. It's basically a self directed project we need to develop, and the teachers want to see how we develop and where we go with it. It's quite frustrating, as it is a project I haven't really done before. Here's hoping the next ones turn out better, because I really don't like that one. Lol.
Anyhow, two scribbles out of my moleskine from tonight. Second one was an attempt at a self portrait, but never got finished due to lack of time. But I like the look of it anyhow. I'm really starting to enjoy using pen again. I don't know why I stopped :/
Good to see you posting so much these days Karein. You know Ive only been around here a short time but just in my time you have improved heaps.
Look forward to the finished oil.
Looking forward to see the next step of this painting:
all the best,
I think that's turning out to be your best piece so far. Do you think? Really nice, your skills are accelerating!!
Thanks Jojge, I'm glad you think so.
Here's a better scan of that work from the other day sice it was so horrible D: The later two are posted as well, all based on 'Beauty is only skin deep'. The first represents the Obsession, the second Alienation and the third is called Destination. The last is something small from earlier on in the year I forgot to post.

Love this sketchbook. Never fails to inspire. Keep up the awesomeness!
Haha, you and me both Sage, females are just fun to draw, but I really should study the Male nude more as well.
Thank you SilverClock, that was the best thing to kick start my drive again.
Been having a few off days, been extremely busy with school, as we are coming up to the end of year. So everything that isn't finished, needs to be done asap. So I am currently working on 3 paintings, a ceramics piece, sorting out all my work for the year and filling up my books. Lol. They like to make it a little hard for us. Anyhow, first few are from my Moleskine project, The last two are both Prints.
The first print is a four colour Lino Print, which was completly done at home, My hand being injured earlier this year made this one drag out alot longer than I had hoped. I had to hand print it instead of using the press, but I like the final result.
The second is a drypoint portrait done of my father, which I am rather proud of.
A few more small things I've done lately. I'm not too sure how active I am going to be over the next three weeks, end of year marking and all. But I will try and throw something down if I have time as piece after piece is finished. Bit tired from it though. And I really hope that damn swan doesn't break in the kiln
I've been exceptionally busy as of late, due to all my submissions being due in, but it's all done now. Thank God. Anyhow, I shall be updating more frequently now I'm on school holidays. Here's the finished painting, but I shall get a better photo when I get it back next week.
good stuff! you gonna grow faster from here. just keep it up. What is your goal as an artist? Do you want to work or is it just a hobby? Either way I think you'll be successful.
I enjoyed your SB.
Thanks for stopping by Björn.My goals sort of long term is to become an art teacher an possibly a freelance illustrator, if I don't happen to change my mind again. I'm glad you enjoyed the sketchbook and thank you again for your comment
A study I haven't finished, which i really should because the book im using is overdue back to the library, and two pages out if my moleskins i hadnt posted yet.
Small update today, I've found i've been struggling a little to get work done. I think being around the house drives me insane. I actually dislike school holidays. Oh well. When i find I don't know what to do I pull out a National Geographic, open to a random page and just draw what ever i see. That's what I've done this time.
hah! yeah, having a lot of time off gets you out of the routine of work and puts you in this funk, where you don't know what you want to do, because you want to do everything. then you turn on some good jams, relax and just sink into it.
some really cool new stuff sorry for taking so long to respond to ya. merry christmas
Thanks for stopping by Struve, I know what you mean about loosing yourself when you have too much time, but I took your advice, and it jsut worked slowly.
Thanks Sam, Merry (belated) Christmas to you too
Thanks Björn, it's good to hear I'm improving. I'm trying really hard not to slack off though. Lol. But I wont anymore.

The studies really seem to be coming along well.
