SOOO...I tried sketching in a sketchy way in PS.
I like the girl's outfit...The guy is supposed to be a character of mine from a story that I did for a school project.
Um, just some stuff.
There's a drawing of the Cistine ( ...or is it Sistine?) chapel Adam.
Some drawings from photographs, and some doodles.
The drawings of the woman come from the open modeling session at my school. I'm always the only one who comes, so it's just me and this naked lady alone, with nobody else for two hours. It gets pretty awkward; I don't think she understands most of what I say.
Added in a picture of a dream that I have.
ANd then there are character sketches in there too...
And I tried doing fanart of Lisa Simpson and of vocaloid.
But describing what everything is isn't really helpful to other people unless I take the time to point out what each thing is, is it?
It's a heart attack. Badump, bing!
I seem to have lost my ability to do art, and I'm freaking out.
Haven't updated in a while.
Trying to learn how to paint digitally...
I like your watercolor paintings, yet if you want to improve: do some more studies.

I love that you break away from just one style. I think more studies would be nice, more of the 10-15 min sketch type. Also that last one is great for a "learning to color digitally". Maybe you could give us more shadows and stronger colors for example? That 'red ridding hood' one caught me off guard when I scrolled down, it had a nice strong impression, love it
Heart attack and chick magnet made me chuckle. You got some neat ideas here and your digital coloring is coming along well.
Oh mai gawd. First comments. Thank you gais.
Okay. More studies seems unanimous. I will try to do/include some the next time.
Kuebiko, I agree with the adding stronger shados comment, but right now, for whatever reason, it's hard for me to add them without it looking like overkill. More practice is needed, indeedy.
This that I'm posting is something that I started about six months ago and just finished inking today. I dunno. Just uploading it because I tend to neglect my sketch book. Adding it in is good practice for adding stuff in.
I feel like I'm drawing a lot, but I'm also not improving at all. ;_;
Been doing a lot of ink drawings in class, and drawing people on the bus and from imagination. I don't know what my problem is, but here's some of what I've been working on since the last time I posted in this... :<
And I feel like I've been trying new things, but I don't feel like I'm improving. Please refrain from telling me to -just- do studies. I've been doing that and, so far, it hasn't proven to be at all effective. I need serious help, please. Thank you very much for any words you may have.
I'm too lazy to post everything.
And an idiot. D:

Okay, I feel like I'm getting a little stronger. Been trying to do more studies, but...NaNo is in June.
And now that it's here I don't even want to do it. :/
But, I'm putting these here in hopes that they will resultantly distract me less.
Last one is a WIP of a sketch thing but...eh...
I agree with "puffynose" that dream gave me shivers
Your studies are looking cool man, love the man and woman underwater concept had a really nice feel, also you seem to have more than one style which in my opinion is a great trait to have in the industry, top stuff man keep it up
Hey thanks for stopping by my sketchbook and for the comments. I agree that dream is pretty creepy, makes me want to illustrate my dreams too. I really really like the color in that last one. toodles
Well...my first drawn page for NaNo. I are already behind. Ahahaha.
And I'm a comics noob, so my pacing and a lot of things are crap. >A>
Wow, another vote for the creepiness of that dream. I'd love to see what you could come up with. I wish that the rest of my dreams weren't so NSFW or polite conversation; I'd draw more. Dx
I think there has been quite a bit of improvement, to be honest. Maybe all those studies are helpful after all, huh? You have to have patience with yourself, set realistic goals (i.e. not " I want to be as good as so-and-so in three weeks time") and have realistic expectations. That means assessing your own strengths and weaknesses. Use your strengths to your advantage, and work on improving the areas you're weakest in. Google as many art how-to s and tutorials as you need. Even the most basic ones are helpful. Make a folder and start saving the sites, and links onto your hard drive, so you have them for reference. Scour this site for all the useful stuff it has to offer.
There is a goldmine of free advice, critiques and tips out there just waiting to be discovered. Are you sketching every day? If not, I would devote at least a half hour to an hour of sketching, outside of the classroom.
By the way your last post is looking sharp. I like the way the composition leads the viewer's eye through the cave to the opening at the end. (The cave walls could use some more value transitions to give it more depth)
Hope that was better than "do more studies"! Good luck, and happy drawing!

ah thanks for color study links they are quite useful
nice works btw. i guess you like anime more than realistic. your water color studies are nice.especially the portait in bluish tint . and i like your coloring style. i would have said try doing more anatomies but i guess you been hearing it lol.i see you are worried about your improvement but trust me on this one. with each stroke you improve you may not realise it but after you ve done enough you will look back at your old sketches and know the difference so just be patiend and pratice thats the only way... keep it up
oh and btw your dreams are freaky.. especially the pumpkin boy .. you final post is awsome. like the coloring and perspective.. is it a dream?
sense of purpose
Your ink and pencil ones are simply gorgeous, and your digital work is stunning too. Love your style ... keep it up!
I've been gone for a very long time, but I wanted to thank you all for your comments.
I guess that it was really...unrealistic for me to expect too much progress all at once. I was unbelievably tardy when it came to replying to your suggestions, but at the time that I read them, I think that they were really what I needed to hear.
Sin, the last post was a bit from a comic...
Definitely keep up the studies, and no you don't suck. You are still making rookie mistakes. I don't want to discourage you from doing anime if that is what you like. But, I would highly consider doing life drawing, studies from photos, mastercopies from paintings, from dreams whatever it takes. I am not exactly sure what kind of Illustration work you want to do though, but I know if you want to do stuff for film, book covers, card Illustration or working for game companies, they have their expectations. Again, keep drawing and painting.
Interesting style from what I'm seeing. Keep it up.

Love the latest digitally painted work, especially the one with your avatar. Some MAJOR improvement in one year's time, good work bro.
