Well, it's somewhat annoying these days, I can tell you how I'm doing it for now... hopefully it will stay working.
Get a free page at www.geocities.com. Goto the file manager for your free page and upload your images. Rename the images and change the extention from ".jpg" (or whatever) to ".txt". Copy the location url of the image... then you can come on here, make a post, hit the IMG button and paste the url.
www.domaindlx.com = The best host on the web. they offer 100 megs, no bandwidth limits, no filetype limits or anything.. pure genious.. I hosted at 250free before but they cut you off at 200 meg bandwidth pr month, sucked bad imo.
These have fast registration (I did it in 4 minutes) and found the file manager to be very easy in usage..
Man I sound like some kind of advertisement.
Weird ... myabe it is not possible with Geocities any more?
You can try the offer from the lounge:
Btw I deleted my other posts in here. You can do that too to clean the thread up a little
write back now.
I like the way you're colouring those sketches. What kinda paper are you using for the markers?
Keep at it!
 DRAW EVERYDAY >
thanks for the reply! I use bristol paper dude. Those sketches are colored by marker. I hope i'll use photoshop soon . Well....gotta draw somemore
here is a pic from the comic book I am making. This shows one of the characters! You can bet I'll post the whole book when i'm done wit it
Thank you for your post in my sketchbook thread. You have some awesome work here, the way you work with markers creates the right amount of value and your characters are dynamic and
Responding to your post, I just try to shade to create the most subtle value, for quick sketches however, I create value by how much i space out my strokes. When I draw I try to have i guess what you could call "confident" strokes. I try not to be hesistant, there are some great cross-hatching techniques shown all over conceptart.org. For practice, you could try purchasing a newsprint sketchbook, fairly large something around 16x20, and practice long straight strokes across the page. My friend whos applying for art center in the transportation design major practices drawing strokes and circles, i think it really helps.
Actually I really like your shading, the value plays out perfectly, you already have an excellent grasp of value.
Haha and yes, Ive been working on a half life 2 mod (we were expecting it to come out on sept 30) so a lot of my work was based around half life 2 environment.
This is the storyboard of my comic book. This page contains the first four pages. Once again, critique . Also that other post (the one with the blue guy and jumping guy), the blue figure was made with blue highlighter I did today durring class when I was bored haaha.
how long do u guys usually do a drawing? I almost never take my time lol. I was curious how long it takes u guys:confused:
does n e one know a good website for anatomy studies. I think if I study that up I can start making appearances of my anatomy studies also i am using domain dlx to show my pics. Does anyone know how to make the actual site because I have know clue as to how I can (I read how, but it seemed tough  ) All I have been using it is for uploading jpegs (and I heard they take away users that only use it domaindlx for storage) Need feed back:bash:
Theres actually a lot of resources here at conceptart, i learned how to draw from kchen and iwasink. If you look at iwasink's adventures at art center he talks a lot about figure drawings, theres a lot of good tips in his thread so if you get a chance check it out sometime.
good work obid619.
i like the style you have. always take your time when drawing. as long as you don't ruch and you get the most out of a drawing as you can then that;s how long it should take. there's no set limit or anything!
thanks for the response ppl. the link u guys game me where great. I saw kchens awsome stuff but i kinda forgot the link, does n e one have it?
Yea dude, i cant see nothing, try adjusting the levels in photoshop or i you must outline your drawing in black pen
some doodles i did at school today. Also i think i'm drawing too light so you people can't really see my drawings very well. sorry :/ . Any way i'm aiming to getting some stars by my name. Root for me!
p.s. i also think i'll start this 100 heros and villains thing (I got the idea from someone from this website doing 1000 soldiers.) I'll draw 2 heros or villains a week, and hopefully post them.
thanks famboozled for your replies
Grab a darker pencil or turn up the contrast setting.. and keep doing what you've done in the last 2 posts. Improvement will build on itself.. u know that.. lets see more - chudds
Homework for Art class that I liked. It has 3 bottles, a pot, and a pan, just in case you cant see it
