Want to see someone become a master? (My Sketchbook)
REcently i finished watching Paranoia Agent, 13 episode anime from Satoshi Kon, i loved his movies, and this series was also nice.
Slumbug millionaire surprisingly fantastic! best movie i have seen since Carandiru which i saw a few months ago.
Then i watched Twilight...Bleh
Just finished watching The Mist (story based off Stephen King). It's a pretty sad horror movie.
Parka Blogs <- Most dangerous blog for artists (and their wallets).
basketball diaries, dexter, ghost in the shell: innocence
The wrestler. Not much plot or narrative but as a character study it's brilliant. The end left me wanting another 3 minutes but lots of it was very charming.

I just watched Sigur Rós' Heima again... it's so friggin amazing. It's definitely the best music documentary ever made. Though, I haven't seen Woodstock and that's supposed to be incredible.
Defiance (liev shrieber is a beast)
also just watched hard boiled. classic
I feel i need to bring this thread back to an acceptable level, I just watched Slither. Do yourselves a favor and check it out. Old school horror with a sense of humor.

Just watched 'Valkyrie', the recent Bryan Singer movie about the July 20th plot to kill Hitler. Excellent film! Yes, you know what happens, (Titanic - the ship sinks!) but really tense, informative and relatively close to what actually happened. The acting is spot on, and Tom Cruise is watchable with some very unobtrusive CG on his war wounds. In fact CG seems to be at a minimum in a film that seems pretty 'analogue' by today's standards. Great cast, (lots of Brits). Bill Nighy, Tom Wilkinson, Terence Stamp, Eddie Izzard, Kenneth Branagh and the excellent Thomas Kretschmann, who I last saw in King Kong as the captain.
Shaun of the Dead, again. Didn't find it very funny the first time i watched it, but that was on a 24-ish hour busride to rome. But i laughed a lot this time.
(23:41:52) (ArneLurk) I woner of there are people who have hairy penises
The grave of the fireflyes Anime '88 movie, sad sad sad.
Slumdog millionaire Fantastic, sometimes reminds me City of god (cidade de deus)
Underworld: Rise of the Lycans
I would rather shit out both of my kidneys than watch that again.
Just watched William Shatner on the Jonathan Ross show. These days little Mr Ross does has me exactly rolling in the aisles, but the verbal jousting between him and Shatner was great fun. Why oh why is Shatner not in the new Star Trek movie?
I never thought something could rival The Happening as worst movie of 2008. I was wrong.
Gremlins and Pulse (the original, not the Hollywood remake).
Gremlins is severely underrated.
The Japanese version of Pulse is rather creepy.
Dark City mmmm

Probably one of the most underrated movies of 2008, in my opinion.
I like how it focused more on Genghis Khan's rise to power than his actual power. Very unconventional approach.
On a different note, the soundtrack is absolutely fantastic.
Son of Rambow-Not too memorable but it had it's moments.
The Happening (with Rifftrax)-Not even Fireproof and Twilight are as bad as this. This is the next Plan 9 from Outer Space. The Rifftrax, however, was amazingly done. Kudos to Mike Nelson.
