Hi Thanks for stopping by my sketchbook. Just been browsing yours there's a definite improvement going on.
You have some really nice pencil work. Keep up the environment studies, one of the ways you can practice that I personally find really helps is to desaturate the photos you are studying from and just concentrate on the values.
Then once you are sure the values are correct start adding colours seeing how they are effecting each other. You can can even start adding other colours to see what effect they'll have, changing the mood etc.
But definitely try focusing on the values first they are by far the most important aspect of a painting to get right colour is very easy to add to it afterwards. It will also make understanding the light, shadow, etc much easier if you take the colour out of the equation by desaturating.
you can also had a hue/saturation layer on (which Id advice to do all the time) and then just turn on and off every now and again to make sure the values are working.
Hope that advice helps Keep up the good work.
Hey mate, really cool stuff you got here I especially like the digital painting with the girl on the bridge, that has an awesome mood to it, and the watercolour pieces from the same post as well, even though the upper part of the tiger's head does look a bit weird I think. Cheers, keep it up
Check out my sketchbook
Can you work this one up more? It's so close to looking minter as, but just needs some more refining and you'll nail it dude.
I seriously started to go through your SB and I did quite well but it still will have some time to do it in my own pace so I post already
I don't really know what to write, though, apart from I like your stuff a lot and I try to learn from them. I focus on figures nowadays, I try to break some wall, it's impossible I don't know enough to produce something decent soon... And I can say you have many nice figures in your SB. I can handle some anatomical flaws (there are some around page 40-50), gesture and sexy lines are there, I'm motivated. Studies, enviros, creative things, you seems to do stuff I like in general.
Oh and thanks for the Redemption Song from Joe Strummer, I love it
Cute owl is cute!
More studies! You rely to much on line work for the paintings you do in your head. Would like to see some paintings from imagination without line :3
Not saying what you're doing is bad but it's good to widen your skill set. Although you did do some I think. But try doing one without line at all.
At any rate nice to see you're back! - Love the recent stuff! Please make more
PS: I am back as well. :3
My observational skills may be great but i said nothing about my drawing skills

God, I love those designs of your swashbuckling self (aye, matey!) and those absolutely cute girls! =) Beautiful treatment, colors, stylization, and I love their expressions. Your pencil piece is very nice, too, regarding the hatching. Solid work still, man.
