oh man your edges have like
become so much better really oh god i love farthern he's so badass
Loving the gray scale stuff- especially the brush work on the last one, those rake-y lines are niiiiiice =D. Contrast is working well, too. Only advice I'd have is that, on the first one, the guy's hips might need to be just a little bit wider- but I'm not completely sure about that xD;. And the person in the background on the second is looking a little wonky, but that probably doesn't matter too much... Anyway, keep up the great work =D.
Hey wow, I wish I had had your skills at that age! Great work, keep up the studies. Good shading on this one! http://conceptart.org/forums/attachm...1&d=1254344125
Insanity is the key!
Also, studies are a key. And passion is a key. Also, so are inspiration, motivation and dedication. Talent can be a key. Insomnia can also be a key, depression is a sad rusty little key. Damn, artists need one hell of a keyring.
My blog - contemporary and abstract paintings
My other blog - illustrative/representational art
theories- YOU WIN
also yes I think my imaginative anatomy is getting rather stiff |D;;;
jatherip- more pencil renders on the way! I've been doing a still life for forever now I have to finish it |D
dierat- BD thanks for the support! I love that last one too, although I need to work on heads still
Aila- hurrr thank you c:
Heya lil sis, nice stuff, nice improvment ! You really improved, i'm glad you're still workin on it ! Well i don't agree with theories :p Keep working on values, it's far more important than color ! Also, i dunno if you're using colored refs, but use them, it's harder than using b&w refs, seeing values with others informations such as hue and saturation is harder ! So do it right now ! Keep it up lady
theories- PFFFF FINALLY YOU UPDATED
ooook but hang on Walid seems to know what he's talking about
Walid D- thank you bro lol
and values is all I've been working on for the past year I hope it impresses you ಥ______ಥ
jk I have a long way to go
thanks for the advice! I've been kind of stupid and lazy and that's gotta be fixed. I'll try more rendering colored refs--rendering black and white have been my crutch. :b
I've got no stars, but I don't care and neither should you. Your SB is for you to see where you were and where you are. You changed your name since last time I was here, but a rose by any other name still smells as sweet.
Your form has improved and I'm so glad that you're mixing up the studies with fun stuff as that's the quickest way to improve. You're getting dynamism into your figures and that's good.
Hey thanks for dropping by me and mine, you have a nice sketchbook here. More ref
stuff is in order though... I know its boring but you learn so much more and eye hand coordination is trained better.
Also try pushing something to be as finished as possible, I'd like to see what
you're capable off.
Black Spot- Yes, I didn't really like my old name. Distracting. Thank you so much!
Incinerated- REFERENCE GOT IT. yeah been neglecting finished stuff for the last year because I can't concentrate for long enough OTL and I'm lazy. It's all the laziness.
FINISHED ART IS MY GOAL. houston out.
also can someone kick me these class contour things and sketches are so ugly.
Take more time in your life drawings and improve structure for imagination drawings
Makes mine look terrible bad times
Stunning work looking brill keep it coming mate
I like that you've tackled the same person twice. A different view point, but the same face, which makes me think you've actually caught that person. To get a likeness can rely on something as small as the angle of a nose or the the shape of the shoulders.
SMASSHIINNN STUFF ERE PIPIPCHEERIOWHATWHAT
the lighting in this (http://conceptart.org/forums/attachm...1&d=1245686105) is beaaauudiiifuuull and it's good to see you draw like a demon. demonic drawing is what I like. don't stop that now
but take your time mayan! obviously this is a sketchbook for well.. sketching but you seem to hop pretty rapidly from one thing to the next. doing lots of little sketches and a nice sort of completed piece (it doesn't have to be 30 hours or anything redonkulous like that, mind you) often makes me feel like I'm learning a lot more. might not be the case for you, but it's worth a shot
you are pretty coooool man I'm going to watch you I: with my beady, beady chicken eyes
What an overwhelming lesson to all artists! Be not afraid of absurdity; do not shrink from the fantastic. Within a dilemma, choose the most unheard-of, the most dangerous, solution. Be brave, be brave! - Isak Dinesen
Oh you have SB too and all your sketches look neat, your traditional drawing also look great, and every post that you made it always show the improvement on your drawing
well I can't said anything except you already awesome
and BTW thank you for visiting my SB
Niceee contour drawings. I tried doing some of those myself one time. I failed horribly.
Just keep trucking and keep doing those faces. They're getting better and better.
Abrodos- love and peace.
andres333- invaluable advice. =u= I continually neglect life-studies.
abhorsen950- what you talkin bout. just you wait a year. you'll be kickass mannnn
Black Spot- haha the same person twice was somewhat required by the class assignment... kind of tricky. I'm glad you were able to discern that even though they're kind of wack-ily proportioned and yeah
gutss- GOOD SHOW OULD CHAP THANK YEW VAIRY MUCH
and haha yeah I do have problems with sticking with any one thing for anything over ten minutes... yeahhh it's pathetic but last year I was kind of the opposite and I love the freedom of being able to make something satisfactory in ten minutes... idk. I also sketched less last year and kept trying to make finished pieces with a minimal understanding of form and perspective etc. etc. so I thought I'd devote more time to making observational/fun sketches and less with finished pictures.
you are so much cooler than me I will watch you back. with my slitty slitty snake eyes hurr.
wakoes- haha yes I do. and part of that improvement-with-each-post is the fact that I post in monthly intervals BUT YEAH ANYWAY you are too kind thanks man. B]
Walid D- KISSES BRO. KISSES.
JoshMurr- BD thanks man.
Bombur- Lines are hard. I've a long way to go still... thank you c:
I just realized I've been here for a year. and perhaps a month. but wow. it's kind of hard to imagine how I drew without this place and the constant strive for improvement. amazing. truly.
YEAHHHH THREE HUNDRED POSTS
