Holy crap dude, did you paint the edges with a razor?
wow beautiful im speechless.. i've fallen in love with #4, after that i'd prob say 7 then 5.
the woman in 4 is so beautiful.
Awesome work! I saw your art pop bye on deviantart.
So, now you introduced yourself here on CA, we obviously want you to start a sketchbook .
You were totally right, hehe! I got work a few days after I posted, with White-Wolf, so im pretty excited!
When a talented artist such as yourself tells you youre unique and ready it really counts - it makes you feel like you accomplished something, thank you!
Thanks Wasker..I think?
I like things to be crisp and well defined; like real-life, or at least how I see real life.
But im actually going for a more "cinema-real" as I like to call it; real but a movie-esque real.
dude your stuff is really crazy. Please post some sketches, drawings or w.i.p's, or make a sketchbook in the sb-section.
Thanks very much for the compliment!
Usually all my sketches turn into a full work lately and I rarely just sketch, but id love to get back into doing that.
Lately I find just sketching; tough, for the simple fact that I can rarely just leave something alone long enough to stay a sketch.
I also will rarely ever show sketches or WIP's. I find it ruins the end result because people know whats coming.
Its like the magician showing how a trick is done halfway through the show IMHO.
At least thats how I feel showing sketches or WIP's to folks who dont actually engage in creating art, but who love to look at it.
Congrats and welcome here! The first two pics are really impressive. The colors (nice and rich palette) and the lights are really successfull!
would rly like to know how u did this sky its so amazing like a photo.
To have others tell you your work inspired them is really such a gift. I get sinpired by what I see often and love how it feels.
I really appreciate the compliments so much!
Sketches or WIP's are things I rarely show except to clients who request it for published work. I dont like for people to see unfinished work for some reason, it just doesnt feel right.
Sometimes a sketch will stay a sketch and ill show it once in a while.
Ill maybe post some sketches soon, they are old however since I rarely have time to just sketch since im on full blown projects mainly.
Thanks so much fo the interest!
Hahaha! I love the first one. Hot damn. Containment Breach...those poor scientists. I hate to critique such a masterpiece, but if I had a complaint, it would be that the folds in the man's (bottom left) suit look a little unnatural.
EDIT: to clarify, I meant his pants. Otherwise I would think it was a punched up photograph.
The approval and warm welcome really mean a lot coming from other artists!
Thanks MarcSampson, im so glad you like it!!
I glanced at a few photos of some stormclouds to make sure I was on target with light and color and then started composing.
Soon; im currently on a contract, so its going to be a bit slow in that dept, id like to keep my work here on CA as current as possible. I have plenty of old stuff but it simply isnt reflective of where I am now in terms of advancement.
Im glad you dig it!
Thanks very much.
The guy on the left's pants probably could use some cleaning up, thanks for the suggestion!
When someone of your skill level compliments you it really is a huge inspiration, thanks again my friend!
Whats next for you? I *know* you have something cookin
Ive just gotten some contract work for White-Wolf; hopefully this is the start of the ball rolling for me.
All the best to you
awesome is an understatement. lovely lovely work.
welcome! love your work!
I'm really enjoying the heck out of "Through the Sunken Ruins" and "With My Father's Sword" ... fun, strong form, anatomy, and lighting, solid dramatic staging, clean strong images... Just good high quality stuff. And your hands have a nice Ingres-like softness that I don't think I've ever seen in fantasy art. "Through the sunken ruins" in particular, for me at least, is beyond criticism. So clearly imagined. And I just adore the way you put moths around that light. What a perfect piece of observation to stick in there and the design of it is flawless. I also like the bumps on the frogs back.
Thanks for showing. You just made a fan.

My "Smilechild" Music. Plus a medley of Commercial Music Cues and a Folksy Jingle!:
wow very good.
you put a lot of movement and emotion in your pieces
Congratulations for your first big contract!!
You really deserv this.
I am really already fan of your work!
I love the details, the design and the precision of your work, and I am curious to know if you are working with your own brushes or photoshop brushes??
I am crazy of the skull of your lord and the beautiful body of your girl, the colors and the softness of the water in that scene.
There is also a wonderful work on your giant and on old your batracian monsters!
The last creature with the strange face and big teeth is really fun!
And about the first paint, I really appreciate the guys in the suit!
Thanks for sharing, really, it is inspiring!
I love your "Daughters" on your page...
And the vampire with the deads...
I think you will find a lot of work!
Thanks Alicat! Im really happy you dig it and taook the time to say so.
Those really are massive compliments; im self taught, so when someone who is obviously versed in art history and theory ( im assuming you are based on your comments) says complimentary things it really, really means a lot to me especially after looking at your gallery; you have remarkable talent - such vitality and such vivid compositions. The energy and lines in your inking reminds me of frazetta's illustration work.
It feels really great when you connect with the viewer and they mention drama or emotion when you worked hard to create a sense of that.
I honestly was sad when I had to stop working on "Through the sunken ruins" I very much enjoyed working on those characters, I got attached to them, so im very, very happy that got translated.
Im grateful you took the time to say why you liked the work - thanks so much.

I really try to, `ej!
This is *really* a big compliment for me and always inspires my efforts.
I dont think my ideas are particularily unique when you read the idea on paper: Young warrior vs the ancient evil, a man-made monster overwhelming his creators or sexy female humanoid lounging about; so I try to really try to employ expressions in my characters that involve the viewer, either through body language or facial expression.
I also try to shoot for very primitive, and very accessable emotions or thoughts: fear, sexual arousal, death, mystery of the unknown or fight for life or escape.
I like to keep it simple but also really try to engage the viewer.
I appreciate you taking the time to say why you liked the work.
Heya and thanks Riddick!
You know it never occured to me that there would actually be folks who would be a fan of my work;, ive always considered myself a fan first and artist second and dont think itll ever sound normal for me to hear that hehe.
To answer your question I use photoshop 7 and I use the stock ps7 brushes.
Im so glad that softeness translated with that work and that you dug the lich piece as well, I really enjoyed painting these and the discovery process that tales place with each effort.
Theres just so much to learn, it never ends.
I appreciate you leaving a comment.
I hope your right and you just may be on to something, I hope; I just recently got some card art work so things are looking up!
Theres a lot of old stuff on my DA page, the most recent and representative of my current skill level ive posted here on CA and also CG Hub.
