"The pleasure which is at the once the most pure, the most elevating, and the most intense, is derived, I maintain, from the contemplation of the beautiful." - Edgar Allan Poe

One of the 'better' portraits I could find from 2012 which is when I started to study art seriously, I was looking though some old sketchbook pages and I cringed pretty hard at myself. Pretty cool to see progress so clearly in this thread.
The first one (shit picture of Raiden from mortal combat), I did late in the spring of 2010, when I would have been almost 16, the newer ones I did this summer, and I turned 18 in June.
I can't say I owe it all to CA.O, because I've only been around for about 5 minutes; matter of fact, learning to draw is one of the few things I can say I did off my own bat, and that's something I'm actually quite proud of. I say that like I've learned everything now (I wish, but alas), to correct that: I'm not done yet, of course. I am becoming a little more proficient though, and have even had a couple of job offers from family friends that don't know any better.
