Nice starting post for the thread. Got a good bit of topics. The third image, the street scene, stands out for me. Interesting choice of palette, I would not think of using purples and pinks for a night scene but it works.
Very clear and fresh style, i likes 'em. Number four is a bit hard to read though.
i like it
Pretty nice style. I think the third one is the weakest IMO, the colour scheme is almost monotone and not very interesting.

www.sevans.co.nz , visit them or a puppy dies!
Some of these feel a bit unfinished. In the first one, for instance, the foremost bike has no shading or highlights at all. Maybe that's what you were going for, I dunno, but it looks funny with the obsessively rendered scene just below it. Speaking of the obsessively rendered scene just below it, that one is awesome. You should post that one in higher resolution so we can check out all the details.
Asatira: Thanks! I'm happy to hear you like it.
walnut: I sort of wanted that one to look flat. I will eventually go back and work on the values though.
alyssa milano: I love your movies ! and thank you !
mysteryofalbesila: Thank you!
SEVANS: Thanks. I was sort of going for an Amélie feel, with a strong purple hue instead of the greens and reds that were used in the film. And I suck at coloring.
sourgasm: I am trying to find a balance between sort of a cartoon and realistic style in my coloring. So yeah, the lack of rendering was intentional. I think I will post a higher res version of all these after I balance them out a bit more. Thank you for the crits though, they are much appreciated.
Thanks for the comments guys! I probably should have worked a little more on these pictures before posting them here. I got this whole batch done in about 5 weeks or so for Comic-Con, so I guess I was just happy to get them to the point that they are at now. These pictures started out as fun but the crunch time that I gave myself was exhausting. I think for now I am just going to finish up all of my current work and then when I stop hating these ones I will go back and polish em up.
Thanks again for the crits guys! Teaching yourself can be very hard and it is awesome to have a place like this where you can get an outside opinion that matters.
