First of all, a little introduction. I signed up some time ago (06) at the suggestion of friends in the 3D motion graphics field. Over the years I've sporadically logged on, browsed a bit, and even scoured the freelance board at times. Only recently did I realize that I'd never actually filled out my profile, or contributed to the community, so, here's the plunge.
To start I'll give you the old stuff that I have on my DA account. For those interested in this folder which was last updated in 2008, here you go Sketchbook
For some time now I've been doing more updates on my main site, which is more a blog of sorts and has some pieces shown sketch to completion, other times just sketched ideas, but I've not been sharing my sketchbooks as much (hoping this post will help to change that)
The Site is JamesGroeling.com
So now that you can see a bit about what I do in general, Here on out will be a few sketches I have on hand, as well as a couple of my first digital sketches in,..... many years.
Enjoy, and looking forward to any input, constructive or critique that may come with.
A Cthulu character I sketched for my webcomic in progress.
The table at one of the studios I do work for (Just the guitar guy was mine)
and the ping pong paddles I took a sharpie to, because, yeah.
A very rough sketch for a metal show flier
and the progress and finished product on that if you're interested, Here
Had intended on uploading more imagery, but it seems I need to resize them before doing so, and I've got to get back to work (most of them are on the site already if you look around a bit)
