Starting new mecha painting and here's the first sketch. I'm going to add some character or vehicle in front of the mech. I think the background when start to paint. Blocks helps me to understand the perspective.
cool sketchbook man, you have alot of different stuff in here
To hell with circumstances; I create opportunities.
Latest with process:
First I made few doodles to get the right idea. Not shown here... Then I made these lines with pencil:
Next I put in simple values to get senso of place and atmosphere (I still suck at this, but I'm learning...):
Then I made better valuestudy. I also felt that lizzard thing was too "evil" to work under control so I changed it:
Painting over values and some cropping. Left that one character away also and changed the beast once more to get it right. This is the final:
... and some details:

Really nice variety there, and really nice stuffs (: Not much I could say, but keep it up!
hey good variation of work and a good imagination in your work. Would be cool to see as much studies(anatomy, light, colour) along side your more fantasy based work.
Interesting works in here.
What I noticed is that your digital paintings
are mainly all blurry. They all have a blurry effect.
I do not know did anyone pointed out that earlier.
You can improve that by, painting 'sharper' edges,
and I know this is for some of them a 'cheat' but
you can use the 'unsharp mask' filter in Photoshop
when U are done with your painting. Should improve
the effect greatly. Keep pushing the pressure on....
Oh and a nice band you got there.
great evolution there at post #63
come back to live.
