Ricardo Robles-Thank u very much Ricardo!!!. I will try to improve the colors and play with more variations
teapo-Thank u very much mate!!!Nope not always but almost everytime. For example in what i am gonna do now, i will do a whole greyscale value plan, base, and will keep working from there(its not strange or cheating, actually its the traditional way. The only difference with digital medium is that u can put an overlaying "thin" color over the values quickly, but almost everyone keeps up building after putting down the basic hues). If u look back some pages(in page 91 last) u can find a character on who i put basic local colors with multiply and then i build them.
weashell-Thank u very much mate!!!Glad u like them
Elophant-Thank u mate!!!Thnx for encouraging, still have a lot of way to go
Giorge-Yo giorge whats up mate!!!Saw your works in your blog and i can say u have improved lots. THnx very much
Yor-Thank u very much Yor!!!
Medusoid-Thank u very much mate!!! Well its not magic, its just setting the basics and keep up refining, thats how things are done everywhere. If u make a great black and white work, then when u step into coloring it u already know where to put your shadows and what value they should have(for example for the black areas you want dark values[[you dont want to go away from your black and white values because it will go to waste and wont look nice]] ).The best way to experience these stuff is to go and make some nice greyscale work(greyscale, not B&W) and then add a layer and play with the different layer modes, make yourself familiar with these.
Parsakoira-THank u very much Parsa!!!after all these days i dont think i like very much that piece. However i did some play with a close up of this character and it pleases me more ehheeh. Have to keep up trying!!!!

surus-THank u mate!!!i will try to do more trad sketchbook things
ok these days all things came toghether and still going. My monitor is doing me tricks, it blinks and goes black, i reopen it and stabilizes for some time then goes black, probably its close to be totally ruined. I took it to some technician but they couldnt do anything so at least it can stabilize somehow and i can work, but if it goes off totally i am gonna buy a new one. Other than that i caught an illness and it ruined me all these days and i still have some of it.
Anyway i am gonna update somethings.
Some concepts i did in addition to the previous post apocalyptic female concept, concepts that i did in order to have something about a post apocalyptic game , but i didnt got the job, that means i have to keep trying even more harder and harder!!!
Also some sketches of what i am working now, i put up to versions, dunno which one to choose, feel free to suggest.
I am gonna relax and work on this piece, thinking of pushing the base a lot in this one.
Also i have to do a lot of thinking and start producing some concentrated things.
Anyway we will see
thnx for supporting and lets all keep up!!!!
MAN! kickass isnt enough to describe it ....I dont know if you take this as the compliment it is intended to be but your stuff really reminds me of late 80s early 90s Pen and Paper Roleplay-gaming stuff plus a little more its like a very successful adaption in to modern times ! btw if you might drop by or PM me how you do your colouring i would honoured ...I presume its overlay or bright light but if I work with this it always gets dull or overly bright shiny comicish ...so help appreciated and again:
THANK YOU for your very detailed input on that one piece of mine !
omfg .. ur the boss!! u really are!!.
Medusoid-Thank u very much mate !!!
Partisan-Hehehe thank u very much mate, these stuff actually made me go deep into drawing and art. I made something totally quick. THe qualities u say u get are a product of the limited use the modes can give u. Ofcourse in some cases a great greyscale base can be colored with quick splashes of color in different layer modes, but for more control u have to work the piece more. Use the different modes to add the basic colors in your work. When u are pleased with the overall color(ambient or whatever) make a normal layer and start painting. You have to keep in mind not to go away from your value plan, u dont want to put a light value on a shadow value or a dark value on a half value etc. Try to research the relation of colors and values. Play with photos. Have a photo and next to it the same in greyscale. Pick regions with color picker and check the RGB sliders (compare and research whats happening). U have to understand how the rgb sliders work in order to understand the results of your research. Check this tutorial by LINRAN -----> http://www.conceptart.org/forums/sho...d.php?t=148355 . Thats for now, i will try to be more specific soon. And for anything more specific leave a message in my pm . Keep in your mind that there is no certain way to color, i personaly use a lot of ways according to the result i want to get, but also keep in mind that the fundamentals are everywhere. If u want to make further progress in colors, make yourself familiar with color theory stuff and lets go deeper.
oma-Lol thank u very much mate, thnx for encouraging , have to keep up working harder!!!
gonna work the previous piece a little
thnx for supporting mates!!!
hey mate! really love this piece! seems more painterly compared to other works you've done~ also, thanks for sharing the knowledge of how you approach color sorry to hear about your monitor and illness i too got sick starting last night but anyways, keep working and i'm sure you'll score better freelance
Hey there, some really great sketches and play with perspective. Feels badass
I'm kind of on the fence for which composition I like better with the reaper...the axe is more interesting in the left, but I like to see the face as in the right....is there a way to combine the two?
Sweet designs right here.
Really dynamic and creative stuff right here .. nice ! keep it up!
Great to see you're still going strong, kostas. Really impressive.

Thnx very much for supporting mates!!!
(will post wips for this and for the previous on the next post)
I figured now was as good a time as any to say "hi" here. Tons of work in here, I haven't seen a sketchbook at page 90-anything for a bit .
The red guy above is great, in the ruins. I think you and I share an interest of the more painterly, but you're really excelling at embracing it. Your suggestions often look like "finished" portions of paintings and you reach a life to your work I am striving for.
Kick ass, pal.
Those paints are fantastic man. Reminds me o f Tom Scholes. Every post seems like you are getting significantly better. Keep up the good work.
