stuff is really getting cool in here. especially your anatomy improves very quickly, good work on that, values are getting better and better as well. nice things happening here all over the place
Man, your line work is looking great, and the painting skills are definitely improving, your latest WIP, working with color, is looking really good so far. Keep doing what you're doing.
I love the line work... I try to achieve the same style before I lay my colours down, but I tend to fail
Gloominati - Hey dude, thank you very much, you're making such a progress too. Thanks for stopping by.
Ivan the Not-So-Bad - Thanks man, i will.
Hive_minD - hey, i just try to go as precise as i can, using straights and curves. Kinda like a bargue drawing, blocking in. Glad you liked it.
Well, here's another one for color practice. WIP
Hey, thanks lars. Yes, you're right about that, it's because of that i'm doing the black and white sculpture studies, to really learn about values and relationships. I think i'm cheating as i started to use colors because i'm not that good with values yet So...anyways, thankks
Here's some sketchbook pages from my sculpture sketchbook where i draw future projects or just doodle mini sculpture to carve or model. SORRY FOR THE QUALITY, i just take photos, no scanner.
And another study.
Great sb! I like your stuff, especially the last study and the sculpture sketches.
Are you going to post some sculptures as well? Hope you'll do so
Te lo mandooo!, buenas cosas diegote, en especial lo ultimo, segui pintando asi!!!!, un abrazo!
Farin - Thanks dude, i really dig your stuff too. Thanks for stopping by.

Acouple of life drawings with ball point pen.
Muy buen trabajo man, se nota q le estuviste dando duro, segui asi q solo cosas buenas pueden salir de tanto duro y buen trabajo
Gracias bushido, si, trato de darle masa...no hay otra.
Here's the velasquez' study, There's tons of mistakes but i learned a lot from it and now, for the next study.
Here's a sculpture sketch for a wood carving, a couple hours of work. Lots of stuff to correct. But it will give me a good base for the negative space when i move to carving
Ace drawing man, really great drawing skills. On your color portraits, a good process to go by, with digital and traditional, is to start really dark to begin with, you can always go lighter. When you start dark it's easier and more natural to build up light that way. Then your portraits will be radiant. Check your images in greyscale every now and then to make sure the values are reading correct. Really push and exaggerate some darks and lights for more contrast. Also don't be afraid to really throw in some outlandish colors into the mix, like deep greens, blues, red, purples. Trust that in the end it will still all look coherent. Hope that help's some, the SB pages are lookin great!
Bloody effin hell, Diego! The update with the skulpture sketchbook pages are fantastic!
You need to get yourself a scanner tho.
Bottom right corner of this page is supergood, dude.
I wanna see this sketch developed somehow!
Mitchell - hey man, thanks for dropping by and the valuable advises, you're totally right about the values, and i'll try adding some blues, pinks, greens. Thank you very much.
Flaskpost - hey lars, glad you liked. Yes, i need a scanner soon.
RandAlThor - Thanks man. I really enjoy doing these little exercises looking for interesting shapes, that functions as an sculpture.
Here's a doodle i did in ps, i think i'll be doing more of these.
hey man, thank you. I've been drawing since i was 18 but i started taking it seriously like 3 years ago or something, i'm 23.
Another doodle, kinda gay-ish pose, it is suppose to have a spear but....no good with hands, must practice them a lot is suppose.
I change the legs a lil' bit...for the best i think. also the position of his left arm.
great stuff here. I especially like the newest two sketches. I think you really should do more of them!!! Keep posting, very inspiring!
y sigue postando, por favor!
Hey thanks anjin, seguire posteando...aqui un par mas.
A couple of heads.
My friend, you are doing greate improvments!!
Keep on it ! Im really happy for ya!
I wanna paint that androgein monster
krossj - thanks man, yes it'd be cool for sure.
Bushido - great improvements x 3...
a fat bumpy fanty elephant, i don't know....
these brown sketches are great! One suggestion:you could try using a white "brush" or "pencil" to highlight the figures, without losing the sketch style. I believe it give more threedimensional to the sketches.
