Hiya! Names Steve Casey(a.k.a. Furvert or Fuzzyfurvert), and I'm here, like everyone else, to post some of my growing sketch collection. It's '08, and as a new years resolution, I'm trying to do daily sketches to shake off the rust and expand my talents. Further, I want to use the resource of the fine folks here to give me true advice and critiques. Which I rarely get from anyone who knows what their talking about, or just rarely at all. And don't be scared to tell my stuff is crap. My feelings WON'T be hurt. I'm not made of emotional taff paper. But, please, if you can, tell me how I can make my stuff... less crap-like.
Primarily, I'm a character artist with comicbook aspirations. I work mostly in pencil on paper, sometimes ink. I have Photoshop, but its been so long since I've worked with it, I might as well know nothing about it's operation. I intend to change that, as another of my NYR's was to work on a image in PS each month.
A little warning before we start: I LIKE nudes. I draw a lot of them. If nudity isn't your cup of tea, you know what to do in this situation. Also, as might be suggested by my older online aliases, I do furry, or anthropomorphic stuff too. Not really so much these days anymore, but it still pops up from time to time. A lot of my characters are non-human, but few, if any, of them are "furry".
I have two current Galleries on DA and FA respectively, showing off a great deal of older artwork. If you're interested, they can be found here: http://furvert150.deviantart.com/

Now, enough blabbing, on with the sketches!
The first is WoW Fan Art(For Da HORDE!!). Made for myself, thinking up a new character to try out. I like how the Trolls look, but I HATE their vague Rastafarian accents. Look me up on Lightinghoof if you want. This is from the 31st, just before we sipped the bubbly at my place.
The second is from today.... er, yesterday(1/4/08). Done at work on break. Its frigid cold here, but due to the drought, we get none of the entertaining parts of cold weather. Character is Samantha Maltease, original character of mine, most frequently drawn over the last decade. Still cleaning this one up a bit. But I think I might start tweaking it in Photoshop....add a BG and other elements.
