Love your sketchbook, subbed!!
Very cool Sketchbook! Great self portraits and anatomy studies!
great stuff dude
Ook so I think I replied to all of you in your respective sketchbooks, thanks everyone for your comments.
Here are some more of those figures from my summer art class plus my first attempt at a still life with oil paints. Thanks for checkin my stuff out, leave meh some feeeeedback hah
Ok here's some sketches from this summer when I went to the beach. Some dumb girls I was with kept feeding the seagulls so there were a million of them flocking around us. I figured it be a good time to break out the sketchbook. The other one is a house drawn from the beach, and a tree from in front of my house. Also a quick still life from last night before my roommates wanted to turn out the lights to sleep. I may finish it more tonight.
Hi there, best thing is how you have started to notice all those hue variations in colours in your still life, i can only recommend trying to get cleaner edges and do more of those
keep posting definitely

Hi, I saw your comment on accepted portfolios, that you got into some unis with scholarship with your portfolio, so, would you take a look at my portfolio and give your opinion or suggestions?
love your drawings! Inspirational I got to study more! Thnx for a inspiration-subscribed!
CUKIERass Thanks dude
sketcheth Definitely agree about the values. Since those figures were over the summer, I feel like my values have improved a bit since that is a huge focus at college now. I'll post those when I get chance, they're all 18x24 so it's difficult to move them back to my dorm.
heix33 Sure thing man I'll take a look
Nettle_Mountain Thank you I will
Ok here are some more figures. These are a few from an open figure drawing sesh, done in my sketchbook with pencil. Haven't drawn that small and in pencil in months, it really feels good to get back to it and take a break from charcoal/conte/pastels for a bit. Hopefully I'll find some freetime soon to wip up some digital stuff and post that, I've longing to start doing studies again on my tablet. Lemme hear yo comments!!
No scanner in my dorm so I did my best with a camera
Janos Hey thanks, I'll make sure to keep an eye on those planes on the next figure drawing session.
Here's a warmup sketch that I decided to take a little further. I guess I got bored and started putting in random blocks at the bottom, I didn't know what to do with the feet legs. No ref for this one.

Nice charcoals man, and very very nice piece on this update. Definitely will pop back again to see how this thread goes.
Great stuf Jasper!!
nice to see studies, some nice shading on those figures.
As for the character, I only just realised it was male. You may want to shave down those hips and thighs, since my first read registered that as female. Great work other than that!
Great work also on the self portrait!!
Keep up the great work!!
awesome handling of figures/anthomy and really promising digital stuff! im smell talent in the air xD wtb more characters =)
The colours in the selfportrait are exellent. I dont think teh outline adds anything though, it detracts form the awesome blue eyes. I say change it to a more similar colour like the background.
Also the digi sketch a few posts up looks real good. The texture and the composition look fine. Lol at trying to hide the feet. I haevn't even started studying them... feet are so hard.
Your figure drawings are top notch! Did you do all those with a live model? The sp is also very good.
Wow, beautiful concept sketches! I love the creepy little dude with the hat.
Thanks a lot for the comments dudes!!
MacTire I see what your saying, maybe It's because most of the live models we've had this year have been women. Thanks for the crit!
Janos Thanks for the crit! In this case I actually think it helps with the silhouette, it wasn't reading well beforehand. I was contemplating what to do with the background for a while, could never settle on anything solid though.
Johann de Venecia Thank you, yes all of them were done with a live model
Here is some figurative stuff from school this year. I've recently lost a large body of what I consider my best and most recent figure work, as it went missing when I handed it in for a grade at the end of the quarter. Hours and hours of figure drawing...very annoyed and dissipointed that it happened. I feel reluctant to blame it on my teacher, for a lack of organization, but whatever, can't get too attached to your artwork.
