Hey Andrew, welcome to CA!
This is an amazing start, you're obviously really dedicated and passionate about art. Just that is a great beginning, because there's no such thing as 'talent'. Just loads of passion and practice
You've already heard that you need to practice anatomy etc, so I'll lay off that. Great to see you're doing some colour studies and painting!
One thing you should try: make a finished piece. I've hardly seen one from you! There are some pencil drawings more finished than others, but I've yet to see one that you really push yourself. You've got more potential than you think, I can promise you that. I see you like doing self-portraits a lot, so sure, go with that. Give yourself at least an hour, minimum. And before you start shading, get the correct proportions down.
One thing I've seen on your faces, is that the features don't really sit right in the head. I suggest some skull study, see how the bones work and sit together. How the eyes sit in the sockets, how the jaw connect to the head, how the neck connects to the skull.
Anyway. Hope you'll find some of these helpful. Keep up the studies
