Lets make love
What?! no comments? haha
Ah dude you know I love your work...I'll say it again that giant piece is brilliant!
I wish I had something useful to say to return the favour...If I think of anything I'll let you know XD
Just keep doing what you're doing because it's working out real well for you so far!!
beautiful purple mountain shadow and selected highlights. You may want to try putting the foreground element at a right angle angle to mimic the angle of the mountain. It'll give the whole piece a really great sweeping compositional flow for the eye.
last landscapes is really nice dude keep it up!
loving the one with the giant =)
Hot damn, awesome stuff. Nomnomnom. I really enjoy your theatrical setups: strong light and dark shadows. Creates a delicious and ominous mood.
I think the landscape is really great! But the composition seems heavily weighted on the left because of the dark and vertical structure. I want to explore the mountains but I find myself caught up at the beginning on the left instead of moving across. Maybe flipping the image, so that the viewer moves across and then rests on the right? Here's what I mean, hope you don't mind:
I added another dark shape on the left to help frame the mountains more.
The final piece posted at the top of the page is really amazing btw! Not much else to say, although I wish the arms were more defined/lean like in the WIP updates before. They reminded me of Nox's Sword of the Samurai piece. Anyways, that's a nit-pick. It's fantastic! Keep it up.
Just a few studies today, I have spent five hours sorting out my photshop and my tablet, hopefully it will not go haywire on me for a while. I am now gonna get my temper out on my sketchbook^^
I know I haven't replied to you all, and i will when I can put aside the time, but for now I can only say that I really want more crits! Thanks so much to you all!
The work on this sketchbook is beautiful.
Really good stuff dude! Enjoying that study of the girl, which is also awesome because your using green!
Which is pretty much my only crit, you seem to be falling into the same sorts of colour schemes. Using cool purples and blues against warm yellows and oranges. Youve done some pretty cool photo studies with some nice colour palettes in, maybe go back and experiment with more colours. Or try working directly with colour (no tonal underpainting) and really push making some strong colour choices.
Keep up the good work as always man! Its encouraging to see you working hard.
awesome work man!
I love exploring your sketches to see how your mind works. You use a minimal amount of lines and information to start these paintings out. It's intriguing to me to see how you create such simple structures underneath and then build them up into such awesomeness! lol Can't wait for more updates. Always love to see the progress so keep it coming!
