ch1xx0r - hey man. the last one doesn't look bad. you should consider working on it a bit more. don't rush yourself to finish asap. I fall for that one too all the time. Just take you time and do a good piece. Looking forward to seeing more.
Thanks, MeTaL-Mike, I should take a bit more time on my work. I always get restless after about 30 minutes. Gonna do another one tonight.
here's an attempt at a different way of painting o_O the drawing/painting is of a drawing from the book Force by Michael Mattesi.
Vritra That's really good considering you're just beginning, I'm struggling with PS painting but I think I'm getting the hang of it already. The only thing I dont get about your painting is the highlights in the middle o_O
I was trying to attach my first pic in photoshop but the uppload attachment thingy wouldnt upload it. I think its cuz it was too big of a file.... how do i lower the file size?
ChristianWeeks In Photoshop go to File>Save for Web and Devices and tweak the settings until you reach good compromise of quality/filesize.
alright cool thanks
this is my first thing done in photoshop and with a mouse
i coulda been more precise with the base and the top of the can but eh i spent enough time on it already.
So, whaddya guys think?
P.S. merry christmas

About me: I'm 13 years old and I've been drawing all my life, but I've been doing it serioulsy since I was 12, I just got a tablet for X-mas and this is my first speed painting, so I don't have a lot of practice, but I'm sure I'll improve with ur critics
I used bumskee first apple as a reference, hope u don't mind

It's good, but it looks kinda unfinished, u should add more colours and details, just refine it more
Vritra that's really impressive, the choice of colours is great, but I agree with ch1xx0r, the highlight in the middle looks weird, but besides that i'ts pretty amazing.
Alright heres my apple I did. I didnt have a red apple, so i had to go with this one doesnt matter anyways. I had a lot of trouble getting the right texture for it. I did this with a wacom too... got my bamboo the other day first picture with a wacom. I'm still getting used to the pen.
What do you guys think?
P.S. still need some feedback for my soda can up there
EDIT: sorry about the huge pictures i forgot to make em smaller
Edit edit: made pictures smallers for panda

your english is really good, you dont have to worry about it. Its not perfect grammar, but anybody can understand the point you are trying to get across.
And if you are really 13 and drawing that good then i hate you.

Call0ps those garlics are awesome, the shadows and the highlights are so amazing....can't wait to see more speedpaintings from you
Greetings, so many new faces here, also I am new here, and wow, I got tablet for christmas too, I've made two... let's also call it "speedpaints" - apple and few days after - garlic. Crits are warmly welcomed!
Christmas apple (3 hours), I already know about stupid casted shadow, what next? Does reflections seem to be so exaggerated?
And here, garlic, few days after (7 hours)
I'm quite scared of the times I spend by making such a small things, I know, I should hurry but I can't help myself and I'm afraid that it will be longer and longer :-)
So... Pretty please, crits now. *Jonish begs you pathetically*
i know i know i didnt mean to my b
i didnt want to go back and edit them all out but i guess i will
i dont want to upset a panda
i spent less time finishing this one but i think i got a way better feel for painting in wacom in these past couple hours just from doing these... nice thread, thanks for cueing me in on this lurkerrr, wherever you are
Well. This is my first post here.
I'm finding that my style (sloppy) does not lend a hand to working in Ps. Here's to practice.
