If you don't mind me asking, why did you quit your first sketchbook?
To a lot of us here at ca.org, its much more informational to us to see the progression of work from the very beginning of a sketchbook (for example, Hurricane's sketchbook is over 80 pages!) to now which helps people watch tendencies and habits that might be detrimental to your art, and help other artists help you to become better at creating art in general.
That being said, things look pretty good. Just keep aware of where your light source is constantly. Good to see life drawings too!
    Keep it up!

    Hello,

    ChaoticKnight: Thanks for the comment!
I quit my first sketchbook, because.... um, well I don't remember why It was back when I didn't own a tablet, and when I got one I stopped drawing for some long time. And all the pictures in that SB were linked from some other server, and now they aren't there anymore.... so I started this thread. This time I really want to improve (not that I didn't want back then - I just want more now )

So I think I'll post some of the stuff that once was in my previous sb.
    Here they are:

nice thread. Keep posting. If I was going to give any suggestion it would be that your line work lacks confidence, the best way to fix that is to just keep on drawing, so lets see some more!

Huge difference between your current work
    and the old sketchbook!

    Glad you lost it!

Now keep cranking out those nice drawings
using reference, waiting to watch this thread grow.

Hey. Great start. I think you sometimes need to take your time when shading. When hatching is not tight enough it sometimes kills three dimensional form.

    I like this one - http://www.conceptart.org/forums/att...1&d=1184021221

    Keep it up.

    Hey
Thanks for all the comments, ForScience, oomgawa and Farvus.
It's been a while since my last post, because I was on holiday, and I didn't really draw much during that time. I just don't have any ideas and whenever I start sketching something new, I get bored after 5 minutes or so. Well, I think I'll just search the forums for some inspiration

So nothing digital today, only two figures from life, one failed portrait attempt and a sketch I did a while back for a WIP that I posted here already.

Ok, not much today, just wanted to show I'm still alive

SO this is Snape, first done after reading Deathly Hallows, and the second is young Snape, part of a piece I'm currently working on for a friend of mine.

    Hello again

I need to learn about colors, so here are two color studies along with refs (random photos from the internet)

Hey. I am a Snape fan so I like these pictures but the second one I think his suit is too tight and it makes him look very girlish and almost like he has breasts.

I am on dial up so your, like everyone else's, sketchbook is loading slowly but I like what I can view and will look at the whole thing.

    :-)

Looking good man, admire the range of subjects you are tacking. I will recommend doing more anatomy studies to help you with your figures. Keep it up!

I'm not a very experienced critic, so I really can't say anything in that regard.

But I DO envy your shading. Post more!

I love the painting of the girl. The only thing I really see is the perspective on some of the pics seem a little off.

Tiberiu thanks for stopping by. Works from post #7 are from my older sketchbook, which is written above the images. As for those from #11 - I didn't know they were so much worse. I mean the portrait was failed, but I meant only the likeness thing, not the drawing itself.
Anyways I'll just upload stuff, better or worse, so that somebody maybe will tell me what mistakes I make in my everyday drawings, and not only the best ones that I create every now and then
    Still, thanks for the comment

Here're some more (a sketch of a girl, a portrait of my friend, and an illustration):
