Yeah, I'm in! Can't promise I will manage anything decent, but I really need to start working on my environments. And Underworld sounds fun.

I'll try to do this one. I've already committed myself to character of the week, but I need to work on my environments as well.

    Library of the Underworld

This is my representation of the library where all the deed of every person are recorded. The filing system leaves something to be desired. I was trying to think of something a little less dreery than my "after the battle entry."

    FINAL

    Final

After months of wandering aimlessly in search of untold riches said to have been found in the underworld, Sancho sees a light...is it the treasure he seeks?, or just the entrance to the aboveworld

WIP kinda cross-inspired by the current COW topic, "Buoy".

More than likely I'm gonna scrap this, though.

    Good luck everyone.

if i did this in traditional with pencils, would it be considered a sketch or a final?

Rist: If you pushed the pencil rendering far enough, it would certainly be considered a final, finished piece. Since almost everybody used digital though, you'd have to push a little hard to get a pencil rendition to look as polished as a digital one. If you rock with pencils, go for it!

    Underworld W.I.P. no.1

    Rough WIP.

Concept: a symbiotic world in harmony.
    Airborne and underground lifeforms.
The underworld here being life under the hollowed out
shells of the dead airborne creatures.
    Here tiny humanoids build civilisations,
living out centuries in the span of one airborne creature's life.

I don't know if there's a limit as to how many participants may join, but if that's the case then I'm withdrawing. Something's come up and I won't have time. See you all next week!

half a century after humanity had gone underground to avoid the perilous new conditions on earths war torn surface, these scavengers are trawling through the old sewers to find sun light bursting through a crack. Basking in the natural light they haven't seen for over a decade.

Nice work guys, loving the range of ideas coming through.
