    Hovering Creepy Thing

    Just a quick sketch/concept piece. It's still a work in progress, so there's more work to do to finish it, but I don't want to overwork it & kill it either. Comments and criticisms welcome.

    I totally dig the glowing thing!

    His sword looks fakey, though -- if it really had some heft to it, would he be comfortable holding it in that position? Just a thought...

    A quick update. Made the sword smaller and started refining the robe. My goal is to finish it without overworking it; I want to keep some liveliness in the brushwork.

    Looks much better now

    and the little jaggedy edges on the robe helped with depth

    Cool piece. My only suggestion would be to enlarge the head a bit. It seems a little small when compared to the rest of him. I would keep it narrow, however. I think that would add to the creepy factor.
