All that up there is anything up to 6 months old so might not be great. Right i think this will be the last lot for tonight. This is my most recent stuff and i'm finally getting a bit happier with my painting.
These are some elemental golem concepts i did mainly for painting practice, i could have pushed their individuality more. The last one is my entry for this weeks COW which i'm gonna try and enter every so often as well as the CHoW and EoW possibly need to do more studying rather than so much painting i think...

Ok, just for fun, a couple of fake pokemon designs i did the first one is my boyfriend whose surname is "Fox" who has an epic quiff irl, and the other is one of my best friends, Adam. He likes fire and being angry

Ok so that's a small amount of my work over the last year or so, phew!
Got a life drawing class tomorrow which i've been to twice already so i'll post some of my drawings from that if i can find my camera cable. It's run through work (I work at Codemasters currently as a games tester) so i get to have tuition by the principal artists there which is amazing and i frequently fan-girl out secretly.
Any comments or crits for any of the above would be awesome

Some life drawings from tonight and from the last few sessions. Not too keen on the portrait but oh well. I've done pages of those gesture drawings, they are fun, but i've not scanned them all in.
I had some great news today, i was invited to go sit in with the concept artists at work next week just to see how it all works, so i'm really excited they are all so nice and their art is incredible. I frequently drool over it

Some quick studies i've done today after a nice long sleep (thank god for Sundays!)
A random landscape from google, a couple of screens from Inception and a bird i found on google. All are done in photoshop. I enjoy these studies. I feel like i'm learning without having to think of what to paint lazy but productive

Accidental hipster/gangsta zombie and another quick enviro study
Comments and crits are appreciated. I'm trying to loosen up and come up with more interesting ideas at the moment as well as struggling with tightening up those enviro studies...

n1frit - Thanks, i do need to do more everyday studies! I get distracted though because they can be boring and i'm not always in the mood, but that's slacker talk
A quick colouring of a sketch a did a few days ago trying to work on texture and colour.

Update on that zombie, again tryin to get more texture with my painting and richer colours....unfortunately forgot about my light source, siiiigh, so it's a bit of a mess. I can't concentrate on more than one thing it seems. Really find light and colour confusing at times.

hey zimzibar! you have quite an imagination and i think even more studies will help. it seems that you and i are opposites-- i do more studies but not so much imaginative work.. gotta do more of what you're doing XD. anyway, i can see progression in your overall rendering just remember to study as well!
keep it up

Hey! You are showing great progress on these last ones. Your creations are excellent, you just have to keep practicing. You are a very imaginative artist.
I also loved it your landscapes. Great stuff. You should do some more, I can see a good potential here.

Thanks for the link N1frit I do draw a lot every day, not all of it ends up on here though. Most of it seems like useless rubbish but i know it all helps!
Just some quick thumbs today from the weekend. We've had a friend staying so not got much art done. Gonna get back to it properly from tomorrow. Want to work on my environments and concepts and try and steer away from illustration.

An environment i did tonight. It's an abandoned crashed ship that has been turned in to someone's house. I used alchemy and the lasso tool a lot and had a load of fun different to what i normally do, i think it's heading in a good direction for me.

Another alchemy based one. The alchemy shape i used for the giant insect was the same as i used for the above ship wreck. Enjoying these quick pics
The mutant ant is the faithful companion/pack horse/house of the traveller. It reminds me of the fire ants from Fallout 3, if they were huge and not burning your face off...

Finally got back to some arting after a few days of being lazy and relaxing. Been a while since i've gone so long with doing anything digital still been drawing a lot on paper though during quiet moments at work...
So, today i decided to start getting down to some life studies. I tried to find the simplest object i could, which was my Wacom Intuos pen holder. It was a lot harder than i thought and i really had to wrestle this one. On the plus side it forced me to tidy up my art desk...
I've already started learning about light behaviour over various surface types just from this one study, so i shall definitely try and keep up the habit.

Onion Still Life
Another still life, this time an onion. There was a carrot too but my housemate thought i was done with it and threw it away >< Lots of very saturated reds in this that surprised me. Hope i haven't over-saturated it. Might try a different lighting set up for my next one.
Started this Monday night but then the riots kicked off here in Birmingham so i got distracted. Left work early yesterday and it got worse so again i was mainly following the news and concentrating on what was going on rather than art. Not gone to work today for fear of not being able to get home so i've made myself finish this and hope to start another one later

Also, doodled this up the other night before bed. Based on some clothes i bought in the week. I can never think of good outfits for characters so it was kinda cool just using my own clothes! Although the girl herself is definitely not based on me

Spent the last couple of nights improving the zombie from one of my previous posts so it looks less flat. Calling it done for now cos i'm sick of looking at it, but C and C would still be appreciated
