He's setting the paint... letting it bleed a bit, and then blending... He's even blocking in a base color before shading...

C'mon guys. Sorry to rain on your parade, but the close ups of the hand is a dead giveaway. The fingers never move, and it somehow cleans itself!
Look again. Its made of rubber.

I believe it's a fake. Howcome the camera cuts out what the kid is painting all the time and what's up with supergloss paper (like printingpaper) when the kid shows it to the camera in the end? In my experience finger and water colors dull reflections.

haha yeah, watched it again, rubber hand.
but there are still some crazy genius kids out there, like that Indian kid who did an operation when he was like 6.

crap, i need to be more critical of the stuff I look at haha. The glossiness did strike me as awkward I must say - assumed it was the paint... meh...

Rubber hand what are you guys smoking? I don't doubt its fake but more likely his dad is just guiding his arm.

I'm the skeptic type... but I don't think it's fake. : Perhaps rehersed or practiced before hand, and maybe the kid is 5 instead of 3, but not "fake" because of that.

Rubber hand? If you watch the whole thing you can see the kid, hand arm head and all, painting the picture.

I think it's Michael angelo reincarnated!

Did you hear about that other little kid who could describe and talk about the inside of a P-57 Mustang at age 2? Apparently the the parents believed that their son was the "soul" or reincarnation of a WW2 pilot. I think the kid even told them his GI number and they actually traced it back to an american pilot who was shot down in WW2.

    Creepy!

To me this looks like someone is moving his arm. He dips all fingers in paint, but paints just with the forefinger, looks suspicious.

On the one hand, if it's real, he doesn't seem like a savant (in that there's not some huge mental price he has to pay for his talent) and he has a very supportive father. On the other hand, if it's fake, he's getting a decent art tutorial right in front of his eyes when he's three.

Either way I think this kid is going to have a leg up.

ffs it's blatantly a hoax and the hand is rubber more than likely as the esteemed Mr Kei has already pointed out!!!!!!!!!!!!! Watch how dextrous and animated the kids hand is from a long shot(all digits spread) and then when we go in close it's constantly static. Oh and how come he dips all fingers in the paint but only ever uses the miraculously cleaned single digit. The gloss paper(print out!!!) and super speedy cut to ribbons editing is the nail in the coffin. Put this thread to bed someone and go do some drawing!!!!! Youtube and such like will have a lot to answer for in the future!

I don't know if it's fake or not, but the super shaky camera work really bugs me. I guess I'll wait for more videos. If it is real, it's amazing that he could grasp shapes and color so well.

I heard from some reliable internet resources that, in fact: It's not even a real kid! It's a prototype robot built to cause controversy and chaos amongst the ranks of internet art forums. I also heard that if you watch the video, you mysteriously die seven days later,... from acute whogivesashit poisoning.

What happens if you watch it a couple of times.. does it cancel it out?

If someone took the time to record it than it must be true.

Hahaha, I totally believed it the first time I saw it! Disregarding all the rubber hands and cleaned fingers, I don't think a child that young, psychologically, can make such compositional deciscions like for example the cool fading BG... But I confess, I bought it at first!!

Man I wish I had some magic fake hand thing that would paint amazing pictures in my name. And then, and then I'll videotape it and put it up on youtube and show it to you guys and you'll all be, like, HEY THAT'S SO COOL OMG WE LOEV YOU NOMI. Yeah that would be awsome.

As the pattern gets more intricate and subtle being swept along is no longer enough.
