    Coldrum - sketchbook

Well I havnt posted here in two years so I'm starting fresh. Having a sketchbook here seems like a good enough motivation for improvement so here goes....

If I kick myself hard enough I may actually get better but for now I'll just have to bite the bullet and post some *cough*shit for a while

    Stay tuned

Hey thought I'd get my sketchbook started with some recent lifedrawing sketches and some other bits. I'm starting to sketch daily so will have to get the scanner burning ; )

    Great stuff!
I like how well you define the planes in your pencil sketches. And I love the feel of your digital pieces. Especialy this one.

Have fun and keep it up

wow, you got some really great work on here! those last digi paints of fruit are very good. i also like the cafe sketches, esp the ones when you don't draw the chairs they're sitting in, it looks like they're floating.

Your figures have really progressed. your drawing and confidence in general has really progressed. Love the digital work also, keep pressing forward, its really paying off. Keep a sketchbook with you at all time, taking notes. haha, keep up the good work

Some more daily sketches... had two weeks off with no sketching then thought I'd try a new pen. It's a 'B' Brush pen by Faber-Castell. Starting to get the hang of it but once the lines down, it's staying there lol.

    Some more daily sketches.

I'm trying a few different pens which can have good and bad outcomes... although I do like the 5mm calligraphy pen. it's a bit strange to hold but is good for picking shadows. I'm not sure what to do when someone is in full shadow though... it can look kind of messy??
