amazing digital figure paintings, wonderful colors! The panorama of students drawing is brilliant too.
You might want to try drawing with a sharper pencil though. Try letting one line speak for the contour, instead of throwing away so many lines. Your ink and paint stuff has a wonderful economy to it, why not carry that into your graphite work?

Digital sketches from a medieval-themed costumed figure drawing party last night:

Thanks for the comments and tips, everyone

Oaksford, the digi sessions were 20 minutes to an hour and a half.

Keith Eager, thanks. I think the problem is the rough paper too, my pencils are pretty sharp. Still looking for an ideal sb, moleskines are too slick and make my pencils look greasy, and handbooks have everything going for them except the paper's too rough... I'll keep the economy thing in mind though

I've got more trad. sketches but I gotta find my usb cord -_- I'll post em soon!

Hey girl, wassup? Glad too see you're still dropping some crumbs here for us

Seriously though, your rapid progress and down-to-earth personality are an inspiration to this trooper *sniff*

    P.S.

I'm gonna hafta give that Sketchup a try. You should really post some of your 3d in this thread, just to show people how it informs your process.

    Here's a bit of a dump.

    BludHund: Since you asked...

These are some of my Sketchup models... I'm using the guns in a character painting, and the hospital room thing is one of the backgrounds I modelled for a comic project... It's the only model from that project that looks any good, unfortunately

    Random sketches I kinda liked:

From Gallery Girls (that aforementioned medieval themes costumed figure drawin partay) (there was a real life high fantasy style dwarf there!):

Wow. The first and last digipaintings are money. I really like them. Um, the life drawings (I suppose they are) are also great. Keep going hardcore.
