    Captain Jonathan Archer

mmm i was just doodling a bit from a photo ref, this one here
    Captain Jonathan Archer

when i started to work a bit more intensely cause i found that i quite enjoyed painting him ^^. well im far from done but i wanted to ge tin some suggestions and crits before i carry on. I think the nose is off, and the mouth aswell. But i purposely left the ref so small so it would be more of a challenge ^^
    btw the background sucks lol

his forehead is too short you should lengthen it, and try to blend it together so it doesnt look so blocky and his head looks like its just a cm too far over to the right

i agree with the above comments. i'd also turn his head slighty off center. you currently have it so that it is perfectly straight. i'd also slope his shoulders a bit. its coming along.

yeah, lengthen the forehead, tilt the head a bit ti the side. Get rid of the "glow" around the ears. Maybe try a more smudgy brush.

A tutor once said to me: "Let your mind go!" and it didn´t come back.
