good stuff. sometimes you hatching follows the form a little too much giving the impresseion of a net thrown over some of your planes. Try hatching in many directions to build up form. Its like when you paint and decorate a wall. you should go one way all the way and then another way for the second coat. the eye doesn't notice the brushmarks if you just work a little more randomly.

Hey Joey, and thanks for your reply in my SB.
I just took a quick look at your work, and you have got some pretty sweet stuff in here. It's nice to see your development from page one, and onwards - keep going!
    - Really digging the two ballpoint commission works on page 7 - I have always been a sucker for ballpoint myself.
I don't have time right now, but I will be back to give your SB a more thorough look.

Man you're finished works are so much nicer than mine. Both the pencils and the paintings, everything has a very strong sense of form.
Your "vampireish" self portrait is especially nice. Complexion's too good for a classic vampire though. More like a normal, healthy young man with a taste for human blood. But then we all have our little foibles.

Gilead - thank you!, I think we just draw different things and if anything u'd be the better artist cause i love the female drawings you do.
not that it matters, as long as we enjoy drawing haha.
    Thank you for your visit!

    Quick portrait, about 20-25 minutes

The orc is going well. My only suggestion is to be careful of the highlights. This is mainly on the flesh. It can start to look plastic and unnatural. The differences in value on the forms of the body is usually quite subtle unless in strong direct lighting.
Oh also the light source seems to differ on different parts of the body. BY looking at the cast shadow from the spikes on his shoulder plate I would assume the main light source is from his back left. but then I'm conused becasue the lighting on the muscels would suggest it is kind of top down.
