krossj - beautiful work... for me, the bird head in particular belongs in the "loose sketches I'd like to own" thread.

Love this thread, guess it's about time to get some of my stuff up here... a variety of personal work and illustrations... and a variety of ink tools: quill pen, brush, wash, Pitt pen, sepia.

I love this thread. I've been getting into Pen and Ink drawings latly. I love the engravings of Albrecht Durer and Gustave Dore, they really inspire me to do pen and ink work.

These first 3 are pen and ink character designs i have done.

The fourth drawing is pen and ink, its a replication of a character in one of Gustave Dore's engravings. This is the first drawing were i first experimented with adding color to a pen and ink drawing. I do the drawing like a normal pen and ink drawing but after I add prismacolor marker. I think it gives it a great
    graphic effect.

The last 3 are the same 3 character designs as the first 3 but I added the prismacolor markers.

Let me know what you think!

Hey Original [E], those are very nice & I can definitly see your love of Durer coming through. My only crit right now is to consider varying your line thickness.

Been meaning to contribute to this thread for a while now... and I'm glad I've found the chance. Here's a couple of pieces I'm proud enough to display here, both drawn from reference.

The first, is the bandit character from "Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon" (sorry, his name escapes me ).

And the second, a drawing of the Greek bust of Aristotle.

    Attachment 401263

Edit: Bah! I forgot one, Katsumoto from "Last Samurai". Again, drawn from reference.

some older abstract ink images i did a few years back. i still like them, some more than other. Micron pens or ball point, most of these are microns.

This is one of my favorites out of this little series
