Hello, ive been drawing for a while now, but not really made much of an effort to share what ive drawn, all ink patterns really. Id just like to share this for now. and as for this thread, so much wonderful art. thank you all
I love that piece drkoshui! You should give knotwork a try. I think you'd be great at it.
I'd love to see this thread be more busy. I love inks. They are an old passion of mine. In that spirit, here's my contribution.

i like doing doodles in ink...just filling up space and whatnot. mostly during lectures... (:
I've never posted on CA before, I figured this would be a good thread to get started.
Really nice stuff! Though I couldn't help notice that in the second drawing of the nude you fail to keep the proportions of girl's back...it looks somehow cut from the ...just my opinion. Other than that...keep up the good work.Hallo together, i really like to see so many different stiles.
@ chaosrocks, your Landscape impressed me much.
I like these japenese Stile with its own touch of ...ähm wildness and dynamic
@ JQR, amazing cyborg sports anchorman
yes, nothing but black
For the beginning, here some ink studies i've done for a view years.
148 x 210mm, try it in Moebius style, a great inker. pencil sketch befor inking.
210 x 300mm, free sketch in pencil then inked it over
for this one in 500 x 700mm, using only ink.
The fotos, that i used as reference, are all from this book.
The next Pictures are some Illustrations, that i've done for my Diplom. 22 years ago.
This are scans from copies, so excuse the bad quality.
The next one is a new work from 2007.
And this Woodpecker is a studie for the book illustrations.
(with Rotring Tusche, resist light, fixed when dry)
I've had an account since 2004 but haven't been very active. Hello all, from Calgary Alberta! I figured I'd post an ink drawing as a first reply to a post.
I'd like to create more ink drawings in the future. In the piece above, I used a Brause Blue Steno nib and Brause wooden nib holder on Pescia paper (very soft). Ink used was J. Herbin Indian Ink (little plastic bottle with annoying metal screw cap and yellow Chinese dragon on the label).
If I could change one thing about the above drawing, it would be the mouth area on the rabbit. Next time, next time...
I'm new at drawing with ink.. drawing with ink is way slower than with pencil but I love the look..

Oh man do I love ink drawings, and the stuff here is great. It's become my backbone lately for my work, after years of trying to half-ass it and feebly get away from it. It's totally helped my brush handling too. Here's some of my little doodles, all done with either a sable brush or one of those pentel brush pens.
Pen and Ink is my favorite medium, and this is probably the best pen and ink I've done. Sorry if it's larger than normal, I wanted to show detail.
some stuff i did on my breaks at work

I've been doing some pen & ink sketching in my journal lately, mostly from life:
And here's one of this year's Christmas cards. I did the spot colour with markers.
Unique style. Very much enjoyed the forest and bird drawings. Keep it up!
