    Check this out (for Open Source Lovers)

    Ubuntu Studio

    An OS that's geared for designers and multimedia artists/musicians etc. It's opensource. I haven't tried it yet but it sounds pretty amazing.

    If you download use the torrent if you can because I think their servers are being hit hardcore.

    Has anybody been able to get their intuos 3 tablets to work seamlessly with linux? I always have a problem getting it the way it shoud be. Ubuntu is great, I love the operating system. I'm gonna try this out thanks LaPalida.

    mh, i always wanted to use linux as a working plattform but
    without photoshop/painter being supported... its kinda impossible

    yes i have heard of wine.
    but it seems useless to me, at least it is without a gazillion gig of ram.
    as long as the programs i use for a living run faster on a win platform =
    no linux
