Hey Miles! I've been watching for a while and really enjoy your SB...your really working hard which is admirable! keep up the good work and that last piece is getting along nicely... but the face expressions.. it looks like there quite chilled while burning down the whole place, either their to cool to be true or that's their everyday routine xD

keep it up! I'll be stopping by!

holy crap, the last time i saw your sketchbook was like 30 pages ago!!!

    youve improved ridiculously

the only thing that bothers me about your most recent pic
is that the different materials are indistinguishable,
i.e their skin and clothes appear to be made of the same thing

    keep it up!!!

Holy hell, being a lifetime "Someone told me I could draw in the 3rd grade so I considered myself an artist ever since even though my stuff blows" kinda guy, the fact that you were doing this stuff since 14 is just mind blowing.

I gotta ask where most yer inspiration comes from! Mostly because I'm loving most of your concepts.

Your work rate is so inspirational Miles. Its great to see your progress and its really motivating.
The only thing i'd watch for is,you have a tendency to add spikes to your characters, sometimes they feel a bit unnecessary. keep it up man

My god, the improvement is amazing. Beatiful growth in your understanding of anatomy and colors my friend. One thing to watch out for - angles and planes.

For instance, in this drawing - pencilfinished.jpg - her right hand (the one closest to us) is at too great an angle and wouldn't be laying correctly on her gun. Her knuckles would run almost parralel to the gun stock, instead of at an angle to it. But even that's jut a minor crit... You're still worlds better than I!

    Happy drawing!

Great figures in the second to last page, I wonder why you made this ones that are way more flat in the painting. The face of the guy down to the left looks poor. To sum it all up: Great work before this last painting.
    cheers.

My57 yes haha, there is a lot wrong with it I suppose, but its coming along.

Hygami haha thats actually the impression I wanted, like they are used to it, but I get what you mean, it seems kinda stupid.

OrangeJoe yeah you're right, Still lots of stuff to change though.

obsidousrise haha that sounded like a description of me:p

Synth Kid haha yeah, you're right, they're gone now

Augmentation haha thanks man, a lot of useful advice there

    Untouched thanks man

Reject-D yeah haha, changed it a bit, added more colours

Lateman thanks dude, ading more stuff

    lennon haha its not even a guy 0_0 I'm working on it haha, its not even nearly done :{

    maeshanne thanks dude

Okay well, its still not nearly finished, but their were TON of things irritating me with the last version, so I've sort of updated it quite a bit.

That last update looks great man! One thing that jumps out at me though is how smoothly the characters are rendered, it may help to dirty them up a bit?

I really dig how you render fire, man. Not much else to add to what everyone else has already said.

hmm....probably you'd wan't to get a bit of blue into the fire, would make it look a bit more dramatic and give it a bit of contrast

Hey, great to see you keep drawing lots and lots! and I know you like to hear
critiques, not just ppl telling you how good you are (which you are but )

So, my critique for the last one is, the way the color looks right now, it seems
pretty obvious that you just put a color layer, so, maybe it's just me, but, for example
the face and skin, looks like just yellow, and nothing else, so, if you are
aiming for this kind of lighting, forget what I've said, this is just my point of view.

C ya Miles, which I was this good at your age, which I had your experience right now lol

Give my sketchbook a visit and tell me what you think n.n

i think the fire in the corner is drawing my eye away from the action of the picture

but the materials are starting to separate

Thanks for all the great advice guys! In a hurry at the moment so I'll do replies next time.

I got a bunch of freelance work so I've been nice and busy. Um some stuff I can/ want to show. Not really any good but this is the resolution they will appear in game. Just the first 3 of 8 character thumbnails for a selection screen or something. Thanks guys.

forgot i gotta mention they are for an upcoming game project for diffusion games

Ah you never cease to amaze me haha I prefer the girl out of the three because of the purple and yellow yet it's still clearly skin! I think the first guys (HIS) left pupil is a bit too dark or just needs more saturation, but it could just be me. How long did these take? Keep it up, and pm about when i should come round or something. See ya

I'm partial to the fella' in the middle. All three are dope, though. All three noses look a bit similar in shape though; watch out for redundancy.

the strap over her face doesn't really acknowledge her cheek bone, if ya know what I mean, kinda makes that side of her face look distended towards the jawline. nice work on the neck piece tho mate, looks great.

Dude, these last ones are pretty cool. Again, I think you should paint directly from colour, would be interesting to see how it would do
