    Hey man,
'Been a long time since I've last visited this thread. How's it goin?
That CHOW entries pretty good man. You've improved a lot in your coloring skills. Your style is more drawn and less "painted". It's interesting. That said, I think the design itself of the character is weaker than some of your previous stuff. That naked steampunk/sci-fi chick is fucking awesome though.
Anyway, pm me on MSN sometime. I know I say I'm offline a lot but I could be online even it says that...

Damn guys its late, I'll reply to y'all later.

    Anyway thanks for the feedback.

Dunno, doodle, screwin around for an hour or two. not payin that much attention.

EDIT: seriously, thanks for all the feedback guys, but I'm takin this down for now, it was irritating me, my lack of knowledge of lighting and all that jazz. So I'm just gonna spend a while doing lighting studies and what not, I'll post some shit later tonight. Cheers guys.

    i'm really
LOVING. this work in progress. Please finish!
my two cents: maybe it's the angle, but his left hand looks a little too small.
and, not sure if it's something like a bandanna or a strong shadow, I guess i'll just have to wait for future progress shots. xD

nice stuff again man, however i think sometimes you should use more ''airburshy'' brushes to get a softer blending on organic stuff, all your edges are pretty rough. Other than that great job

a la bapsi haha thank you, but I don't think I'll be working on that any more

    Reject-D thanks

WhiteC yeah I was just thinking that, TBH I need to do more life drawing and lighting studies

Kian thanks John, I'm pleased you visited

    Dished thanks

My57 yeah , I know I can be a bit hasty to take stuff down, usually do it when I'm frustrated with stuff, I'll try not to in future.

Reject-D yeah, I just came to the conclusion I keep getting a bit lazy and complacent, gotta study more.

Didn't have that much time , but here's like an hour long study from a photo. Will do more later.

    Completely unfinished.

Well, another 2 hour lighting study. Yeah shouldn't have taken that long. Gonna keep doing these till I start to get my shit together

    also really unfinished

can't stand this shit:/ I know you guys say not to take stuff down, but I show this page to employers sometimes, so I need the work at a particular standard.

    My57 reffed of course, thanks

    D@niel thanks

well, todays is something a bit different for me. A quick acrylic rough for a big painting I might do, done from a photo I took on holiday. Was great fun using traditional media.

Okay well, if anyone seems to have noticed recently the stuff I am posting doesn't really look as nice as some of the stuff I was creating a while back. I guess the reason for this is I am trying to push myself outside of my comfort zone and really focus on colour theory and lighting and all that jazz. as well as anatomy and the regular. I have decided I will try to complete a daily environment for a while now to try to up my skills in that area as well. I won't post todays because I'll only end up taking it down, but there will be more to come.

i aint been on here in a while nice environments, i think the first one is better, the second one is abit flat but quite atmospheric.
