Mr D Sure man, I'm gonna do some torso studies later

ped454 Of course, no slacking lol. Thanks man.

    Reject-D Cheers man.

Vid gets better after 1st minute

KK I was curious so I filmed myself drawing on webcam, hence the dodgy camerawork, actual time was like 1 hour 19 mins. Its kinda hard to draw on the spot, mixed feelings about the result. Overall I like it. Groin area is funny.

It was fun reading through your sketchbook and watching your art progress, I wish I would have realized a passion for drawing when I was your age. keep up the motivation.

DavioHahaI'm gla I did, thanks man. I've always drawn and sort of leqarnt a lot of knowledge through copying images out of game magazines at the age of 10 or so. I've only really sort of developed a passion for it in the past 6 months.

m0us3r Yeah of course man thanks for the crit.

KK this isn't really a proper update but mr delicious said to do one pge of studies a day so this is what I managed to fit in last night. Better update later today.

mr D of course man, studies later when I get some more 2b leads in town.

ajvenema Haha thx man. Yeah thats what I was thinking when I saw the video. Its just my webcam adjusting to the light, giving everything an orange tint and increasing the contrast. I think it looks better than the finished result so I'm gonna start using a bit more contrast in my pencils.

Okay I was just messing around with using greyscale then using colour balance to slap some colours on. I like the effect but personally I want to learn to just paint straight into colour.

More experimentation with photoshop. Colours a bit boring really. Added some colour balance to make them a bit better. Liking the face.

hey iv seen your vid,.,,.. it seems that the vid's drawing looks better than the scanned one... could be the contrast.... 'cause the dark zones looks darker
and the head in the last one... mmm ... looks a bit big to me ... the rest is good as always

    cheers!

    great progression man!

    you are doing fantastic!

here are a few suggestions to check out to further your knowledge....

try taking the same character and rotating him, and posing him in different positions in a thumbnail format.

    also

experiment with techniques from this book - the teachers name is Glenn Vilppu

here is a link to the book on amazon.....seriously consider getting this book, it will be very , very insightful for you...

    http://www.amazon.com/Vilppu-Drawing...8423026&sr=8-1

also if you can get your hands on some of his dvds...thats the next best thing to actually being there in his classroom

    keep rockin

    blessings

    - C

Got to bed at midnight last night and just thought, fuck it, i'll do a self portrait. I got so tired I never really finished the ear and hair but it bares quite a stong resemblance.
