Yeah I really like that one, it has a really emotional scene in the end. Really believable even though they are stick figures.

Yes an animation board would indeed be great.

a little off topic but—> YES! please, PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE can we get an animation section on CA?

in my opinion it's a major weakness of the site, there are tons of animators with whom artistic dialogue here would be better facilitated if there was at least ... something for them here officially. I know it's been talked about several times, i'll volunteer to get some of the work done as/if necessary.

    conceptart.org needs and deserves it.

I'm ALL for an animation board. I'm just afraid it's going to be dead most of the time though.

This is a valid concern. But hey, I have 3 stop-motion animations that I can post up there at least. There have been some works leaning towards animation in the FF lately. I've heard from people in other art communities that they would like to post their animation pieces on CA but are too afraid to get lost in the shadows of steam punks and bikini armor. Hell, even if I'm not producing artwork on my own time for an animation, I can offer as much advice as I know with what experience I've had designing for TV. Plus my house mate, who is an animator, has been lurking on the site for months, hoping to be able to pounce on some good animation work here or to share some of her work.

For me though, I think it comes down to wanting to promote the more efficient, animation-friendly styles of art that are overlooked on this site. Creating characters and environments for animation is a whole other ball game afterall, with rules and techniques that can bolster game design as well.

    Says me anyways.

    Let's start here

Momus, Gug and others: I know it's not as cool as a separate board and I back you on that notion 100%. Let's see how many nibbles the new thread gets and rally the animators!
