Hazar for bowie for supporting the arts... and then he needs to be slapped a few times for the people hes choosing to expose. Some of that stuff is horrific...

...ugh not to mention just out right ripped off, left 'artists painting' right is the original wood cut...

I'm glad people are supporting the arts, I just hope we don't get another crop of YB(bs)A's.

That is not really a rip off since the two have many variations. If he took the wood cut or a photo of it and scanned it or made a print copy that would be ripping it off. There is sooooooo much artwork out there that I guarantee you anyone could find something that looks similar to something someone else did. It's almost like people that look identical yet are not exactly the same genetic make up. When someone does something that is similar to your own work you should consider it a compliment since they like it enough to use this as a reference. It's like they are your sheep and you are the shepherd.

Since were on the topic of David Bowie here is something else to mention.
Sometimes other recording artists will take songs created by someone and record them in a different way and then make that song very popular yet the recording idea helps the recognition of the original creator.
Good example is a song by David Bowie called "The Man Who Sold the World".
Although I personally believe the original version by David Bowie is far better this song became popular with another generation when Nirvana recorded the idea.

I didn't really get a chance to have a good look through the site, but at least someone is doing something for artists. Can't really complain too much, can we?

I don't mind the meat on a wall as a photograph, but just as meat on a wall, that's a... well, it's a waste of food.

However, I don't disapprove of him doing this.
I think more famous people should try things like this.
