thx to JAG for the topic idea.
- The concept must be based on the term "Silver Tooth"
- Silver Tooth means the metal silver and the tooth is what humans and animals have in their mouth (you force me to describe this primitive things )
- no individual characters, create a species

That's an awesome topic. I keep thinking "Silver Tooth Tiger."... I'll try to muster something that isn't so pun-based.current portfolio:

Very interesting, silver as in the metal is going to be fun with a living species. Starting to think of something along the lines of a living metal creature...or a species who all have great dentistry plans.

Kohajs are large carnivores that are very strong and rapid. They are also known as the Silver Tooth because of the small debris of silver stuck in their cavernous teeths. They have the habit of chewing the mountain rocks (highly dense with silver) after they eat in order to clean their disorganized rows of teeth from the meat. The Silver tooth eats rabbits, goats and even bears when it hunts in packs.

silver is kind of a soft metal for teeth ... =/
April 30th, 2007 #8
maybe they could be plated with silver from eating the metal

Sounds sweet, kinda my kind of thing! lets see if I at least do sketches to warm up.

I should get back into this, I missed it last week.
Hmmm silver tooth...makes me think of werewolves somehow
Edit: First sketches, I'm back at my old habit of first trying to find a pseudo-scientific explanation for a creature having silver teeth and only then starting to sketch, which is not always the best way to do this . The basic idea here is that it lives on the salt flats, and as a protection against the sun has evolved some kind of giant polaroid sunglass thing (which will get darker the more UV light hits it, those things use silverchloride - a kind of salt) on the back of its head The silver in/on its teeth is actually a byproduct much like some chemicals which find their way through the body and end up in the nails and teeth. Blah.
