    Pencil sketchin

    I've been messing around alot with pencil shading recently, and thought I'd offer up this distorted alligator thing (it was based on a dream, what can i say) for crits

    Any thoughts?

    i like the scale shading but i think you could push the shadow around the belly area and parts of the body where theanimal is close to the ground as they will be naturually darker also you could look at adding some shadow for atmosphere you can experiment using rough sketches, think of the type of enivorment the alligator is in even get photos for reference and then add various tones of shadow/ shading for a more realistic effect also need to add some shadow to the lower jaw. other than that nice pic.
