jedininjaman: Thanks a lot! It's really nice to hear someone likes my book!
Peetaer: Thank you!
Miles_: oh yeah, OC is all sorts of awesome, such a shame it isn't more widespread. Really helpful and educational too, I used to be a real event file addict. A younger me would look at the older me and say "what a prick, didn't post the event file or anything"
algenpfleger: Oh hell man! I love your stuff! You're like the biggest motivational boost around here, any time I feel like not doing anything in particular or go through one of those "baah, I don't feel like drawing today" I just check up your sketchbook, revel in the hand studies, the self portraits, the anatomy sketches and count the pages. Quality and quantity hand in hand, that's something that doesn't happen very often, especially with my lousy mileage : /
carnal: haha! Alcohol, the fuel of great men! Next one is going to be about a drunk dog : )
archipelago: hey man! Let's have an OC one real soon, yeah?
DanielC: Yeah, you too! or maybe take a break so I could eventually catch up with you? : )
Tugelbend: Haha, really the only thing you need to do to be like me is to start dressing funny : ) (artist in action!)
Tigermilk: Thanks for your continued support! : D
fragmentedchimp: Hey! Most of the stuff from the last post was open canvas though I usually paint (and the last portrait was also done) in Photoshop.
Radon_: I only know a little german and I use it mostly to amuse myself with inappropriate faux german slogans : )
Yes! So here's some from the sketchbook! Most of the floating portraits are quick stuff done from life while waiting for the bus (I'm absolutely horrible at getting the likeness down) and some of those pages are done while a bit tipsy
also featuring a painting of a steampunkish street and a birthday present for a special someone
More great sketches, you have good control of values.
I like the last one but to critique I like the clouds a lot but I feel theres redundancy to the right of the creature. The city and the creature are well done too but I think the area between them could use more detail.
Really interesting idea.
wilkerson: yeah, you're right, I wanted to work some more on it but I had to rush the thing to the photo shop to get it printed out in time. : /
algenpfleger: haha, it's a NO U duel then : )
Josef K.: Thanks! Hope that these don't dissapoint then : )
archipelago: in due time, in due time : )
wookiedabo, Creatinity, Gumbercules: Thank you!
So! First up, a couple of open canvas sessions with archipelago. Followed by a run cycle test.
Somewhere in the back of my mind I'm still thinking about creating indie platformers. Sort of want to study programming but it's a huge taunting task and I could always team up with someone.. and animation. Must get a book on that.
The rest are speedpaintings from today, I got into somekind of a rapidfire painting mood. Funny when that happens.
