    Thanks guys!

TheDirtSyndicate: He was (and still is!) a great hero of mine. I was 15 or so when I found his stuff here on conceptart. That Chazzwazzers or whatnot thread made grind my teeth and draw to improve more than any other. I also pretty much took his style of sketchbook over 1:1 with the typefaces and page compositions.
Man, now I'm all nostalgic. If some magic guy ever offered me to live a day again I'd pick the one where I found his thread.

Had to do this under a tight deadline. Or rather.. the deadline was too lenient. So lenient that I almost forgot about it till the very end. It's gonna be printed out and put up on a wall for Animated Dreams, the animation subfestival of the annual big films festival here.

Uh, when she picks up the thing she says "Wonder what this is used for?", the Schleims say "Let's eat her!" and the three headed monstrosity says "Time for school! Wake up!"

the game, sadly, is on hold for now : ( come autumn we both got busy with school and other duties.

But I'm cooking up new game ideas! In fact, here's one:

Mockup for a game about NIHILISM.
The kind that had teenagers throw dynamite at the Czars carriage. And some even succeeded. Lenins big bro was a nihilist!

I have some vague ideas for this. At first I figured it would control like a platformer but from the mockup it looks that maybe point & click would work better.
There should be some heavy introspection going on and I want to differentiate the real from thoughts. The collage style from photos would represent the reality of life and the painted parts would be the psychological, these two would blend and mix as thoughts are thought and sanity slips.
The main character is always painted for there is no way to escape the constraints of the self as idealists would have it (maybe only when looking in the mirror). Oh the irony that our brave nihilist would be a Marxist and believe in finding absolute truths through dialectics! In search of this objective truth of himself he only deludes himself deeper and deeper into the realm of the mind, further away from the materialist categories he would hold so dear!
    He also drinks alot.

There may or may not be a minigame about throwing dynamite under the Czars carriage.

and a few pages from my sketchbook which I scanned in in school since my scanner is still broken into millions of pieces.

Great stuff! Especially this one. Feels like a digital marriage between watercolour and... crayons? I dunno, nice anyway.

    Both of these pictures lie!
Scarves don't work that way and storks can't be generals!

    Don't believe in art!
