Under Your Bed
Saturday, 28th April 2007
- for any questions or help go here:
note: The deadline won't be EXACTLY after a week...it can last up to 24 hours more, i am human and have to work also, you know
Post your creature for this week!
thanx to 156 members who stubbornly posted this topic again and again in the ideas thread
Finally i take it...it is pretty open and asks for a character BUT only a species is allowed!!! No individual sitting under the beds (hehe kinda sounds perverse)!!!
Heh. I guess it IS a pretty common subject. I did it myself a couple o months ago, in a similar activity thread on another forum.
But I guess there's no reason why I couldn't give it a go again.
well ill have to hurt my head on this topic tonight.,. and then just hope i've got some time to finish
ow and einen, u using my idea :'(.. i WAS gonna do that.. now ill have to think of somethin else
hmmm *think monster inc.*
won't be able to make this one, have fun everyone! ^^

HELL YES!!! I have so many ideas for this one! thanks Fozzy
wait, can you only draw the creature? or can you draw a kid on the bed as well?
well yeah, obviously. Thats what I meant I just was thinking that you cant add a a kid or a bed..so i was like "hm.,"
Einen, I did piece similar to this quite a while ago. The focus isn't really on the monster under the bed, but I thought I would share anyways.
moai - same here, AND on top of that.. im to drunk.. damn poker night... although i did win hehe
cant think of anything orignal.. hmmz
I can't believe I returned home from a party at 06.15... at my age... only to find a creature under my bed that looked like a fozzy-supervlieg combo, with a jakkas head, smelling like moai and with the teeth of a disfunctional COW-artist. Holy spring... may the morn treat me gently!
I've sworn to stop this silly creature-bending, and make some more sophisticated scenes... but hell knows I might give even this topic a go... Grrrrrrrr! Damn it!
Can I ask a question here, just so I know where I stand with COW. Are we judged by skills (how fancy your pic looks) or by concept/creativity?
Final. Any crits?
The Mattress Mantis - These creatures are usually found under children's beds. They grow from regular bed bugs by feeding off the imagination and fear of the child, and can usually grow to the size of an average adult. Usually, the creature will grow tendrils that attach one of the child's toys to its head, as a sort of camouflage when hiding under the bed at night before it comes out. During the day, it shrinks down to a smaller size and attaches itself to the underside of the bed. These creatures aren't usually deadly, but they should be removed by the parent as soon as possible for the safety of the child.

No, seriously, the artwork should be judged by everything, with artistic skill the most factor i guess - it's all about eyecandy at the end.
Then concept/idea/design. Some weight one point more than the other, be sure to be creative and make a sweet artwork, then you are on the safe side.
I actually might jump into this one...I got a great idea and my WIP doesn't look bad either.
Oh I'm much more excited about this one then last weeks COW ~
Try always to [ i m p r o v e. ]
Moai: You absolutely reek of COW... like all who've been here as long.
Supervlieg: Well, this morning you was... I even got a snap.
Ofcourse you have a disadvantage versus someone who is in the industry and have spent cuntless nights alone reading anatomy and practicing. Aiming to win the COW is a honorable goal, I am sure, but perhaps not very realistic if you are new to the art. What you should aim for is constructive crits that brings you closer to your artistic goals. Cheers
edit1: lol, missed the o in countless, I'll just leave it like that, shall I? It still fits my response.

Wasker that is hillarious! It really fits either as countless or like this, with a spelling mistake that has a new meaning - eh whole new meaning ;p[...]have spent cuntless nights alone[...]
