    Getting the hang of Painter

I think I'm finally getting the hang of this program (Painter). Everytime I've tried to work in it before, I would just give up and go back to Photoshop. But now I found something that works for me, and I'm really liking it more than Ps...

I'm the same way about Painter. What'd you discover that "works for you" enough to pull you away from el tried and true Photoshop?

nice style! feels like GTA somehow.

I'm the reverse. painter -> photoshop. I think it's hard to say which is better that which coz they both have some features the other doesn't have. For me, I often have the two programs side by side and switching around.

Yup, I'd say you got the hang of it by the looks of this image. I'm with Laura, what did you discover that works for you?

Man you are young, let me ask you a question, did you draw like this when you were 18, because you make me look like crap ?

    thanx for the replies!
before I always tried to color with the Artists Oils, the Oils, and some other brush sets but no matter how much I tweeked the settings, it just didnt feel right. Now I tried the Oil Pastels, and after some tweeking, it felt really good using it. Im quickly able to fill and blend with the same brush...

JesArt - at 18, i could probably draw like this, but i dont know if i could've painted exactly like this.

Thank you, had you been saying you were practicing this stuff since 4 Years now, I would personally come by your house and strangled you with my bare hands.

I browsed your website- You are awesome, I'm in love with your pencils, I wish you had more of them on your Page.

And this piece kicks ass, too.
