I guess the problem i have with this piece is i am not sure what i am looking at. At 1st glance it simply looks like a few sandbags in a pile with "police" on them.

I agree with blue, I can't really see any human features at all. I think the most disturbing part is the lack of any kind of fingers.

but by the sign above him, I know that he is 'hot'

    Keep at it, man

I just want to know how he sees because if those bullet holes are eye holes then this guy either has a shrunken head or his eyes took over his nose.

I really like the texturing job though

Not sure what everyone's looking at. I thought the view port for lack of a better word was the dark area between the red lights. And, I can definately see a finger on the trigger, or at least where I believe the trigger to be.

Different look to the armor that's for sure, but it didn't lose me.

Well thnax you guys for the feedback much appreciated!! But in according with the figure its human so there are no mutations or what not ..the bulletholes are supposed tobe cameras that the cop sees thru thats why the helmet is sort of large!! but the textures on the walls took me ages to do and pefect haha!!

I know it's a police, but a giant police. I assume you intented to have the police character in the foreground where everything else in the back. So push them back by scaling them down or desaturated them. Or even pick another angle.

I like the design on the helmet, reminds me of some early concepts for different Combine soldiers for Half-life 2. The rest of the figure really lacks form and definition, though. My advice, work out what you want your character to look like, with a full body sketch or drawing, first, and then worry about a full blown painting later.

Your composition is a little lacking. There's so much space above and around him, and your eyes shoot straight to the word "Hot" and you really don't want another focal point in the image. It's a little to strong to be considered and accent really. Also, between the brick wall and the building with the sign on it, there's almost nothing to give you the illusion of depth, they almost seem connected.

Sorry to be so harsh, but I find it's what's helped me in my work, when people are painfully blunt.

    Hey there Rahll!!
Thanx for the amasing feedback ill take everything you said into meticulous consideration..very much appreciated!!

fookchai: Ive tried doing all those things but I dislike desaturating a picture too much plus I think the fading away of the buildings helps too keep the viewer's concentration in the middle!!
