The whole point of a school project is that you do it for yourself and therefore learn from your mistakes.

i don't have like a typographic background or annything so its kind of hard to actually create sommething about sommething thta specific like a font specially when the concept is "i hate...
It shouldn't make a difference what background you have, if you cant think up your own ideas and be creative I dont think you will get very far in this industry...

man within reading the 2 sentence of the 2nd paragraph i started getting images in my head. this is not as difficult as it may seem. the 'concept' for the project is i hate helvetica.. so draw something hateful.. or representative of hate or wrong-doing and incorporate the font into it somehow. done. thats the cheap n dirty way to do it, not much creativity.

but creativity is much better than non.. so try 'expressing' the hate in some other way. rather than just showing hate, try to display it with color.. or an icon or an environment.. whatever.

think of something that YOU actually hate [if you do] and try using that. theres endless ways to do this.. - JAG

How hard would it to just make a noose and a hanging platform out of Helvetica Text and just have the word helvetica hanging from it. Stupid idea as it seems but something that spontaneous can be good.

You could do any number of highly simple, graphic solutions with elegant compositions that would make your teacher happy, such as a few letters in the Helvettica font that look like they have been stomped on.
I think you are awesome, and I wish you the best in your endeavors, but I am tired of repeating myself, I am very busy with my new baby, and I am no longer a regular participant here, so please do not contact me to ask for advice on your career or education. All of the advice that I have to offer can already be found in the following links. Thank you.
