45 minute quick painting of one of my friends..
i looked at that painting i did of my friend ^^ and i didn't really like the face much. so i redrew it and repainted the face only and gave her random purple hair ... i think the face looks much better in my opinion.
I like what you did with the tennis player. Really cool.
You would benefit greatly from doing more of the painting/figure studies, than copying images like Dragonball Z.
Keep on drawing.
thanks, that piece was for my Alevel art work... i then went on to produce a larger version of it (larger than A1) for a final piece for my coursework..
i wasn't completely happy with it, but i still got an A so its all good
Few life drawings ive done within the past couple months... i havnt done any in a while..
Some recent stuff ive done in the past 3 or 4 days... all for my Alevel Art exam...
some goya, and kollwitz work, as well as drawings from my own photos..
Havnt updated this in a while... been too busy with coursework and stuff..
well ive added some more work ive done in the past couple weeks for preparation for my Alevel Art exam in 2 weeks..
1st thing is studies of hands
2nd and 3rd are more drawings from photographs i took
4th is an idea for my final piece
5th is an alternative idea for the final piece.
Your drawings from pictures are really nice. But my favorite has to be of (your head?) facing all different directions.
One crit would be... try not to outline the shadows so much. & in your figure drawings, dont sketch over the line again and again trying to find the right line, instead try looking at your subject carefully & making one nice clean line. & if its a bit off, erase and try again.
cheers for comments... those figure drawings were purposely done really quickly and roughly. i had an interview at Bournemouth University for Animation, and i had to do a speed life drawing test when i was there. so i practiced before. i need to get myself a tablet again.
AS Level Art final piece, picture is really blurry though. ah well.
Optimus F*kin' Prime...YES. The TRUE Prime, not that steaming pile of monkey dung coming out in July...(WTF, Michael Bay? )...
I like the studies done from photos and the WWII fighter plane pop-art. You're moving in a good direction, keep at it.
Watch out for Piranhas
Just keep drawing from reference and life, you will improve all the time.
With the digital artwork, just lay off using the pure black and white for shading. These colours virtually never exist in real life and therefore won't help your images to look realistic. Try light colours and dark cool blues or deep earthy browns for the shading. Black and white or great for cartoons etc, not for realism.
