    brain-sucker and friend

    - desaturated the background, centered the characters

creature concept I had created for my portfolio.
grabbed two monsters from a batch of thumbnails I created and made them interact with each other.
used a cloud photo, and watercolor/ Indian ink for the background

The creature looks good. I think the background distracts a bit too much, tone it down a bit, make the focus the creature.

    Warrior Style

    That's one sweet brain-sucker!

But I'd agree on the background. Tone that back so your boys are the main focus. You might also want to blow your characters up so they take up more real estate on your page. The way it's drawn now, they look like they're heading somewhere, but I don't have enough info to tell what kind of world they inhabit or where they'd be going.

But they are extremely well-done and I'd like to see more!

    to hell!

just kidding. Originally I thought he'd be going toward an ocean, but I just kind of lost it.
I'll blow up the characters and tone that background down =)

    I like the character...

    I liked your work!

I think that the bottom is well, but him lack floor (ground), so that
it does not seem like floating... I believe that in general it is a
good work... continues practicing, sees that you have talent.

    Sorry, I speak spanish.

Cool, nice rendering. The brain sucker is all evil and sinister looking, while his
friend is dull and obedient :] good job

I like these characters, there is something inherently comical about them.

otiredroc: I see what you mean he isn't standing on a solid base. Hmm, but I'm not sure if I'll bother adding a ground for him to stand on. It's just focusing on the two of them after all

Mattinian: I really enjoy working with characters a lot. the sluggish character on the bottom may be brainless, but he's a brute. While the other character on the top can't go very far on land, and also has a very soft spot on the back of his body, so it all works out.

Crawdad Jones: I am content with the new change. Makes me just focus on the character, and isn't as crazy as it was before

    Blue: thanks! =D

    Respect your opinion...

    You are right...
The background is secondary, and the characters are very nice!!!
