Red face Me, MySelf, MyArt! >>nudity<<

Hey folks! I'm Rebecca, I'm 24 years old. My life is drawing and I study art and illustration at Ruhrakademie in Schwerte, Germany. (I don't think, somebody here knows this very small institute... )

Now I decided to start a sketchbook here and I hope you like my art. C&C are very welcome!

    Thumbs up

Wow! Beautiful dogs! I especially love the golden retrievers! Did you use pastels for those? The color variation you used in the fur gives it such a punch. You've got some lovely variation here with your pieces too. Can't wait to see more. Cheers!

Welcome to CA. I really enjoy looking at your work. The sketleton and muscle collage is my favorite so far. Do you happen to have any life drawing and figure, anatomy studies for us to ogle at?

    Red face

    Hi there!

@blu-grrl: Thanks a lot! Yeah, I used pastel, coloured pencils and a little acryl colours.

@Envisor: Thanks! And yeah, I'm going to upload some of my anatomy studies and animal drawings, I did in the zoo. ^_^

This was for illustration subjects. Our topic was "trees". This tree looked like a pig...

Now, some anatomy studies. I copied my sketches into photoshop and did some experiments...My lecturer found it very good. Sketches I'll upload later, because I have to scan them first...^.^°

Very nice images, you sure have some skill! I think my favorite is this one, though I love those you made with ball point, felt tip and... hairspray, was it? Very nice effect, quite different. Keep posting, would love to see more!

nice stuff Rebecca, I really like your three nude drawings where the guy is bald, the anatomy is simple yet it has volume.. I will be the bad guy..hehe..where are your perspective studies?? remember perspecive is important if you dont know it i recomend you doing the cubic geometric man alla Durer..i think you have seen my studies, just take a pose from any master draftsman (modern or old, marko here is my favorite) and brake it down into cubic forms to give a sense of perspective to each element of the figure.. These really has helped me , to see volume in perspective..I think this drawing of yours is really masterful , simplicity of line and volume by tones speak nicely, im reminded of a Raphael hehe, and a greek statue..

my new site, is crazy stuff but is my own space, I can say whatever!! hehe:

Hey, nice start you got here. Keep working on your anatomy, your figures still look stiff and you're having a bit of trouble with proportions. Try working on your line control a bit, I think it would help you overall in both your pencils, figures and digital work. As for the digital, you should tone down the saturated colors you're using and try to use bigger and more efficient brush strokes. Cheers!

Hey light, thanx for your comment! You are right, most of the lines are not that good but most of the anatomy drawings are very old! New studies are in work... (sorry for my bad english...I didn't speak the language since 7 years now... out of school, you know...no practice...hehe)

Hey, thanks for stopping by my sketchbook! ;D

Great likeness on the spiders - I love how active they appear; you really captured the extension of their limbs. And I really like your self-portrait in post #10 - it looks to me like you're best at color in detail as in the hair in your self portrait and the fur on the golden retrievers. I think the self-portrait also had a great articulation of structure; the lips and jaw looked sharp and in just the right position. And it also had a full range of color between the hair and skin.

I also liked the lifedrawings in post #4; their colors give them an almost eerie glow. But I think it would really bring them out if you just added a bit of other colors: for the green one, put just a little purple in the shadows and maybe blend in a little red where it's darkest. I know you were probably under a time constraint, but I think that would really push the volume and maybe not even take very long.

    Keep posting! ;D
