    proportions.

just wanted to check what needed to be fixed, proportion wise, as i'm planning on working on this a little more. btw, it is supposed to be a women, but atm the sketch lacks eye lashes and hair, as i'll add them in later.

It looks like you mightve drawn it while sitting back from it, because its slightly skewed to the right.

The eyes are too big. Making the eyes smaller and then checking the rest of the face to the eyes should make it look more correct.

Draw some portraits and check out the anatomy of the face, especially the skull. That will help lots.

    heres a grid:

remember, the face is very symmetrical [ideally anyway] and usually features are sized very similarly. keep in mind this is not a head-on frontal view..

supposedly, the distance between the eyes is exactly 1 eye's width... which is also just a bit smaller than the width of the mouth. but as you see everywjere thats hardly the case because everyone is different.

the ears span from the bottom of the nose to the top of the eyelids.

the chin should be [ideally] a mouth's height from the edge of the bottom lip to the bottom edge of the chin. - JAG

it's only after you've lost everything, that you're free to do anything..
